My vote counts for nothing

I want to start by saying that "I'm done voting" I'm never putting my check mark on another ballot ever again. This country has turned into a world wide joke.
What is the reason for voting anyways :?: The people have elected a minority government and we have to live with it. Now the Three Stooges are not happy about this and want to run things their own way. Dion 8O , Duceppe  and Layton :| listen up,,you guys were not elected to power, suck it up.
Dion of all leaders is the the process of being replaced because he screwed up the last election. But before this happens he wants his name in bright lights so people do not forget him. This is so childish. And also Stephane said numerous times he would never have any dealings with the Bloc Quebecois, and whose name is right under Dion's? That's right, Duceppe who has repeatedly said he wants his province to grow on it's own.
And Layton does not surprise me,,,he'd do anything to get some of that power. he's been running 3rd all these years, he's tired of getting crapped all over him.
Dion reminds me of the guy who gets sand kicked in his face at the beach then comes back with his 2 retarded  brothers. Gimmee a break.
I do not like Steven harper but he should not be replaced that way. If an election is called then so be it. I thought the people of canada had a say in who should be in power.
So my question is WHY SHOULD WE VOTE :?: Why should I have to drive to the polling station and wait in line every election :?: It all seems clear to me that my vote and yours don't mean squat.

You do your party a disservice with that attitude.
Quitting because the going isn't easy and deciding that you will opt out means next time there is one less vote for the party you want, making it even harder for them next election and less chance of getting your form of government.
Suck it up.

Maybe we need a march on Washington I mean Ottawa. ;) I think it'll take a big kick in the pants to get these people doing their jobs the way they were meant to.

Don't vote until you understand how it works. I don't like what going on either, and I voted for these idiots in the government seats.

First, nobody voted for a minority Conservative government, and nobody has a mandate to rule unless they hold a majority. Mulroney did it by bringing the Quebec separatists into the party. One they felt they got screwed they formed the Bloc. Harper has only been able to hold on to power because of the same Bloc support that he now doesn’t think should be able to support anyone else. Hypocrite doesn’t even begin to cover it!

In simple terms, you can only vote for your local choice to be a member of parliament. Once elected, the “pool” of ALL the members of parliament can align in any way they choose, regardless of party affiliation.

As for Harper’s pending “removal”, shoot the son of a bitch. He’s ruined my party by being an arrogant, small minded, partisan bully.

R=UP

Frankly, anyone who is old enough to vote and doesn't is pretty damned stupid.

Thank you for not voting is about all I can say. It gives those of us who do vote more power. [B-o]

You'll get no sympathy from ANYONE if you don't vote at all.

"Not Voting", "Mass giving up seats", not sure WTF that's supposed to prove other than immaturity.

Then don't vote - that's your prerogative. Evidently you've developed a sense of electoral entitlement that promotes self-importance and a disregard for political science. And if things don't work out the way you've envisioned, you throw a temper tantrum and take your political ball and go home. Nice philosophy.
