I never hear it but allmost all the Albertans I work with are from the east.

Most of the people Albertans who I worked with were from the East as well...and the few that weren't fro the East hardly ever did anything productive but loved to talk about how lazy Easterners were and how the Ontarians and Quebecois wanted to steal THEIR resources.
It was hilarious.

We don't. They just say we do and think we think we are the centre of the universe. Thats just mostly because HNIC has often been TNIC due to the simple fact that Leaf games drew a larger audience. Add to that the Toronto Star which is very Toronto centric is sold throughout Canada and they get pissed of that Toronto media actually prints pro-Toronto articles.
Here's something interesting: prior to the Flames' big Cup run in 2004 (which was awesome!!) if you went to the Saddledome to see Toronto play the Flames the 'Dome would be 60% + LEAFS jerseys!! It was only during that big run that the Flames' success brought along a 'new generation' of fans (who pretended that they liked them all along) with rich parents that would supply the tickets to the games.
When I moved to Calgary in 1998 I went to the first Toronto vs. Calgary game that I could attend and it was quite a spectacle. Leafs jerseys everywhere. Most of the 'business crowd' in the expensive seats wouldn't even see the goals - they'd just turn their heads towards the ice when a goal was scored and a horn sounded. It was common to speak to people who didn't know anyone on the present (at the time) roster.

Well they must all be hypocrites because most of the west is FROM the east.
I've met loads of true blue westerners with nonthing but disdain for the east. Witness mtbr, gfpr, (Var)-rednecks.
Not only that I've have personally met westerners who simply hated eastern Canadians when I was travelling abroad. It was actually the first I had heard about it.

I'm not just going by the ones on the internet. I'm going by the ones I met in person in addition to them.

Oh no...an internet bully!!!
Just for the record...I was there. I wouldn't say it if it didn't happen MULTIPLE times. If it was a single scenario I'd have stated it. If you happen to be insulted by the picture that it paints well, I didn't say that EVERYONE was like that...but a LOT of people were like that.
Now please, stop whining.

Funny stuff.
Hey us east coast people are wonderful people. I love me ....fuck ya all
Seriously tho I am tired of this misconception we are "lazy". We are a laid back people but that doesn't define itself in laziness. No, not a whole lot bothers us for very long. We don't always feel the need to change our lifestyle in order to be as "progressive" as the rest of the country ( eg. Sunday shopping was bucked for years). We are a poor province and always have been guess that has simply taught us there are more worthwhile ventures in life than money. Those of us that can't live within the economic structure of this province tend to leave. We tend to take our roots with us tho. Happily we are a fairly centered bunch of people ,so we often tend to not give a shit what people think of us

Your a dick. You know what I find about Albertans, they are as close to Nova Scotians as you can get in this country. Likely because there are so few native Albertans that don't have east coast roots somewhere. Ya, there may be a couple of ass's in the bunch but there are an equal amount of east coast people with the same prejudice against the west.

I would support your statements. For those saying people from central Canada do not slam the west they must be living in an isolated cave. Through business travel across the country I can honestly say many people in the GTA and to a lesser degree in Ottawa and Montreal spout mindless drivel attempting to ridicule other areas of the country. It even shows up in the press from time to time.
Most of the anti central Canada rhetoric in the West is based on 100+ years of real and perceived discrimination from Central Canada.
You can explain some of the Alberta arrogance because most Albertans find it hard to be humble when they are so perfect in every way.
