'We will elect a Liberal government': Paul Martin tells Calgary crowd

a crowd by CBC standards is 100

""Who's the best economic manager?" began Martin, who was then interrupted when someone in the crowd answered, "Stephen Harper!"

How about this guy? Where's the great advice from him?

Wally_Sconce @ Fri Oct 03, 2008 5:40 pm

Paul Martin is an embicile when it comes to managing money. He steals from the EI fund, then declares a 'balanced budget' when in fact he did not have a balance budget.

The economy was booming and he was unable to control the purse strings without stealing for every unemployer worker in this country that was denied coverage in those years.

The government and RCMP union lawsuit over his raid on that fund is still pending too. Just another burden left over from the Liberals.

Hasn't Harper done the same?

How come none of you commented on the "crack" thing? I thought you found it "annoying" when the Rev went on about 'ludes.

Same reason they drone on and on but anything the Libs have done even though Harper has done the same.

They are all on crack.

Paul Martin avoids paying Canadian business taxes. Shows us how he feels about Canada.

not to the point where it makes the difference between a balanced budget and a "balanced" budget.

BTW, Martin was finance minister, Harper is the prime minister

the man lacked passion in his later years. Thats why we called him CEO Martin instead of Prime Minister Martin

I think you missed a couple of years there, AR. Martin was PM from Chretien's retirement until the 2006 election.

Wally_Sconce @ Fri Oct 03, 2008 7:26 pm

I think you are missing a couple years, Rev

Martin made his first claim of a balanced budget in 1998, after reworking the UI fund into the EI fund in 1996. The lying cheating bag of shit was not a prime minister at the time.

Reverend Blair @ Fri Oct 03, 2008 7:31 pm

Your post implies that Harper is somehow superior to Martin because Harper is PM, AR. Martin was also PM.

If you want to just limit it to the EI thing though...if Harper is so good, why hasn't he fixed it?

Wally_Sconce @ Fri Oct 03, 2008 7:33 pm

just because you infer, does not mean it was implied.

I find it a dishonest debating tactic for you to be creating imaginary assertions just so you can comment on them.

Thats because Harper would be running a 30 billion dollar deficit instead of the 5 billion deficit he is now.

Before anybody repsonds that they are running a surplu I don't count bandwidth sales because one time sales is no different then having to sell your car to make ends meet.
