Report: Canada's banks are world's strongest

Canada posts C$9.6 bln surplus in 2007-08

Federal surplus hits $1.69B in July

Canada to lead G7 in GDP growth in '09: IMF

Trade surplus grows ro $5.8 Billion in August.

Dion and Layton are lying about our economy. What else are they lying about?

To be said in Dion-eese.. " Whhatt hafe yue got?"

There's always the cost over-runs for the carbon registry, or the cabinet and senate seat for Elisabeth may.

92% of those new jobs were part-time.
After telling us the banks were strong, Harper handed those same banks $25 billion.
The Surplus is suspected to be a deficit by many familiar with Finance Monkey Flaherty.
Housing starts are down and home prices are dropping
Leading the G-7 at this point is like leading six homeless guys over a cliff.

Don't forget that 'surplus' includes a one time $4.5 billion sale of bandwidth.
What happened to the other $2.8 billion?

$1:
What happened to the other $2.8 billion?

They spent it on limos for Bev Oda.

Hard to argue with 107,000 created in a single month when every other country are losing jobs.
It's not just Harper that is saying our banks are strong. It's the international community. On the other hand it is ONLY Layton and Dion that claim our banks are in trouble. The same Dion that is hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt and Jack Layton who knows as much about economics as I do about nuclear fission.
Houses stats are UP, not down Rev.

Still better than passing it under bistro tables in brown envelopes.

When IS the Liberal party going to get around to paying back that stolen taxpayer money anyway?

Reverend Blair @ Sun Oct 12, 2008 12:27 pm

When is Bev Oda going to quit wasting our money?

When is Steve going to admit he was either lying about our banks or just handed his pals a $25 billion present?

Apollo @ Sun Oct 12, 2008 3:43 pm

When is Jack Layton going to start using public healthcare instead of private?

When is Dion going to admit that the greemshift is nothing more than a tax grab?

When is Jack Layton going to admit that he supports the Marijuana party?

When is Jack Layton going to admit that unions are the main reason the manufacturing sector is dead in Canada?

When is Jack Layton going to admit that took a public housing unit away from a needy family.

When is Jack Layton going to shave off that 80's porn star moustache?

I wouldn't have bothered replying Apollo, always going to be people who negative thinking. Hey, Canada is only doing better than a lot of countries and is infact increasing rather than decreasing like other countries along with the most strongest banks. What's to be positive about? New jobs, new homes. There is nothing positive about that...

ridenrain @ Sun Oct 12, 2008 4:05 pm

Rev. If the economy is so poor and there are so few jobs to be had, will Dion change his plan to open the doors to immigrants from all over the country and cancell his planned "$800 million in programs aimed in part at matching them with jobs suited to their skills"?

If, as you suggest, the economy is already slowing, more immigrants taking already scarce jobs definately isn't going to improve the problem.

(Spin that one
:D )

I'd like to believe that Rev is not as dumb as he posts and is merely blinded by partisan politics.
