I'm guessing you are referring to that eminent Conservative, Randy White. You do have to admit that you are getting you're money's worth with him.
Perhaps you should move to Vancouver where Libby Davies would be more in line with you're unique political opinions.

NorthCelt @ Mon Nov 14, 2005 10:23 am

Well, better unique political opinions than that tired old 'only private enterprise can save us from those heathen socialists' conservative claptrap. Harper and the reform-a-tories: no ideas but plenty of mindless ideology. Hey, I'd love a change of government ... I'd vote for the tories in a cold second if they just admitted once that some government-run services are actually better than the private for-profit alternative and finally end their constant ideological battles which taxpayers underwrite. But after the neo-con Harrisites in Ontario, I now know that they're such whores they'll sell out grandma's healthcare in a heartbeat if it meant one of their cronies got the contract and promised to put them on the board of directors once they left politics. That's exactly how politics works for Mr. Harris and Mr. Klein. Harper's every bit the corporate whore that they are.
Conservative Albertans always moan that they've can't understand Ontario's reluctance to the reform-a-tories but the answer's easy...we've experienced eight years of Mike Harris, a corporate dolt if ever there was one.

ridenrain @ Mon Nov 14, 2005 10:36 am

Well, that's quite a mouthfull there.
Mods, Can we get an IP check on isle 7 please?

It was your Rode Scholar Bob Ray that chased business to Buffalo with his wild Socialist affirmative action ideas. That is why Harris was brought to power. Poor Bob couldn't understand (and still can't) why everyone left.

Well a big Hayzeus to all the Liberal wimps.
Mein Gott what does it take to convince you that the Liberals have been sitting on the fence for so long they've become overgrown with ivy, poison ivy that is. Has it now overgrown your eyes and blinded you to the truth?

Some people need to wake up and smell the roses.

Some Liberal jumped up never come down climbed down off the fence long enough to throw a few more millions of taxpayers money into Quebec.

Please mr separatist is this $5,000,000 enough, you can have more next year, just put your head up your jacksy and vote Liberal.

This party has gone past being a joke...vote them out.

Jean_Cretin @ Mon Nov 14, 2005 1:21 pm

I’m voting Bloc because I want to.
It’s sad to see that a lot of people will vote for a party they don’t really believe in…
Voting Liberal because they don’t want the Conservatives to win.
Not voting NPD because they won’t win.
I’m voting Liberal because I don’t want the Bloc to win.

That just go to prove how Federal politics are in a sad state… If there were no party I wanted to vote for I would just cancel my vote.

PM_Dithers @ Mon Nov 14, 2005 1:33 pm

I don't see why people would want to vote in a bunch of criminals.

Canadaka @ Mon Nov 14, 2005 1:34 pm

I think voting strategically happens in and democratic party system, not just ours. Its way more pominent in the US

badactor @ Mon Nov 14, 2005 1:55 pm

In a two party system you have a right wing and a left wing party to choose from. Both parties beleive an a government roll that need be played in the economy and to do that the government must consume wealth, your wealth. To determine who to vote for I would suggest that you not listen to the media as bias runs too rampant to be properly informed on the issue. There is a very simple way to determine who you should vote for. Consider the wealth that you truely beleive the government should consume. Based on your own personal ideals and beleifs as to what the government should do for you how much of your wealth should they consume. . Personally I am probably more conservative than many so I beleive that government should be able to do all I need government to do with no more that 20% of my income. Currently they are consuming 37%. Therefore I will vote for a government that is more conservative in their nature and demand from that gov't to reduce taxation. Other than that I know that if I elect a Conservative government the CBC and Canadian press will work hard to watch their every move in order to, if possible discredit them where the Liberals don't get media scrutiny.

PM_Dithers @ Mon Nov 14, 2005 1:58 pm

When the CPC gets elected, one of the first things they should do is privatize the CBC. Enough of the tax-payer-funded-to-the-left-of-most-canadians-government-mouthpiece.

badactor @ Mon Nov 14, 2005 2:05 pm

Auh! Yes No more funding an organization that criticizes, ridicules and condemns me as a conservative on a daily basis. And in the process we may also finally get an elected senate, not that the house of sober second thought is either sober or thoughtfull. If an elected Supreme court could come with that....hummm

Yes to everything before an elected supreme court...now that would just be silly.

ridenrain @ Mon Nov 14, 2005 2:09 pm

I don't think I'd agree with privatizing the CBC but we should certainly look into it. There are just too many shows that do not have commercial value but are very good. If nothing else, children's shows that are more than one long commercial.
I do believe that we Canadians will have the chance to make that choice, if the Conservatives are elected.

He is a pretty good MP I'll admit. He represents his riding very well.

So when some people are voting strategicly it means the politics of that country is in a sad state. That would include quite every countries in the world and would also include Quebec then

Typical federal bashing by a clue-less separatist again.
