Too bad the name, 'project democracy', is such a complete bald faced lie.

How is it a lie? Democracy is majority rule. The majority of Canadians are left-wing thinkers and what holds us back the most is the fact we have split votes. It's more of a flaw with our voting system that prevents true democracy, and that's what this website highlights.

Just voted for the Liberal candidate in my riding thanks to Project Democracy.

'Who' and 'why' were the questions. Spare us your preaching.

No, Martin is right.

The site is anti-Harper to the extreme... the reason for it's existance is to get rid of Harper and the Cons, which disqualifies it as being democratic.

So you're saying I'm anti-democratic because I strategically voted to keep out Harper. Harper's goal is to destroy the Liberal party, is he undemocratic?

No, the name of the website is bullshit, because it seeks to defeat one party.

Nothing more.

BS assumption. You have no idea how many Liberal voters would sooner toss in with the Conservatives than Jack Layton's NDP or the Separatist Bloc given the choice. Never mind those out west who can swing between the NDP and the CPC (because the Liberals are not much of a force west of Southeastern Ontario).

Your model of Canada with a small minority of hard right CPC voters taking the large left wing majority for a ride down neo-con lane doesn't hold water.

andyt @ Mon May 02, 2011 1:31 pm

Using legal means to try to defeat one party seems democratic to me.

You people are idiots. What happened to merely discussing who you are voting for, and why? What's with the partisan bullshit?

It's election day, the vitriol needs to be ramped up to make sure you vote the way someone else wants you to

SteveK @ Mon May 02, 2011 2:23 pm

Yeah, sorry, that was my bad. I'll drop it, even though I still disagree.

SprCForr @ Mon May 02, 2011 3:42 pm

Reminder:

The polls aren't closed so anything relating to election results and related things should not be posted.

There is no way Trevor needs BS from the gubmint on this.

Thanks for the cooperation.
