Actifry
Has anyone bought one of these things, and if yes would you recommend it?

A large, non-stick frying pan with a cover works just as good and is a lot cheaper.

Move away from fried foods in oil.
I got a Ceramic non-stick pan than I can use to colour things like mirspois without oil. It'll fry eggs too, with no oil.

Bake chicken, cool overnight, then bake again. It'll come out just like fried chicken...without the frying.

Bought the old lady one a year or so ago. We cook all the frozen fries in it now, huge improvement in taste. If you make chips from scratch it takes a while.
Chicken wings good too.
Beats baking in a pan all to hell, it moves them around and you don't get that gooey side down

Actually we bought the Black and Decker one from Canadian Tire on sale for $99.99 and we love it. We haven't used the oven to cook chicken wings or chips since we bought it and the first time we tried home made fries they turned out great and we used a very small amount of oil.

The only problem with them is the amount you can cook. It's great for the 2 of us but when my daughter and friend showed up we had use the oven to keep the freshly cooked chips warm which kind of ruined them.
So if you can find one on sale for a reasonable price I'd say go for it.
