Since when does a suffix begin a sentence?

Any word is capitalised at the beginning of a sentence or for names regardless of the suffix. Banff was educated in Saskatchewan, what is your excuse?
So says the guy who thinks "PotatoEs." is a sentence.

In a vain attempt to save face in a light hearted manner, he's alluding to the fact that you capitalized the 'e' in 'potatoes'.

This is a forum  If grammer and spelling is expected to be on target with every post , then maybe we need to be using Microsoft Office for every post , or promote you to spleling and gramma har police :P I caught what you were saying when you posted it although I was talking rather than writing :D :P
I was educated in Alberta and attended the School of Fine Arts and was also awarded for some of my writing . Hard to believe isn't it . I'm lazy almost middle aged and frankly don't give a crap anymore , but of course I do smarten up when people get on my case enough . :P

It was for emphasis and "potatoes" can be construed as a sentence in the context of elliptical construction as evidenced by the posters previous imperative.

Further, I don't know if the attempt was all that "vain".

BTW, in Canada we still spell it capitaliSed.

Just having some fun with you so don't get your panties in a knot. But you spelled it wrong several times as did other posters and this transcends a typo or laziness. You should be grateful that I am not only educating you politically but now grammatically. Most people have to pay good money for a tutor.

Seriously though, stop doing it.

If you were intending to make a point regarding my use of the word "vain", I'm afraid it's in vain.

Fine .
For you I will try to remember , but don't think you know that much about politics . You would be amazed at how wrong everyone on every forum is about politics , especially and or including those who use every peice of evidence they can find . Go back and read our freindly little discussion about Saskatchewan and then sit back and contemplate what we discussed and then tell me who is right  There is a good chance you will discover neither is .
By the way , Do you waste potatoes ?

That's a fairly vain conclusion to draw.

In the vain laughter of folly wisdom hears half its applause.

Oh, come on, is this any less valuable a use of the forum than "Word Association Fest"?

danikyvor @ Sun Nov 05, 2006 2:21 pm

No, but I think it's ridiculous how certain people come into a thread and not only take it thoroughly off topic, but manage to rile up a lot of people in the process.

True enough; there's much more to discuss on the topic of peeling potatoEs without this little digression PDT_Armataz_01_28

Excuse me while I go and cool down... I was out of control there for a minute, and my heart is still racing.

Banff @ Sun Nov 05, 2006 2:29 pm

This thread is getting Starchy  Pun intended

I think the reason for it is because GFPB just can't admitt that he wastes potato(es)
:P
GFPB , stop wasting potatoes , seriously .
