Super Bowl XL
D_T_M @ Sun Jan 22, 2006 10:27 pm
It's official, the Seattle Seahawks will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XL, in Detroit, on Feb. 5.
Personally, I'll be cheering for the Seahawks. Seattle rolled over the Carolina Panthers and shut down Steve Smith.
Now discuss Super Bowl 40.

I'm not too fussy on American football. I seen both championship games and who really cares who wins the Super Bowl? The Super Bowl winners should be the team from the AFC/NFL playing the winners from the CFL. Then they can call it the Super Bowl!
But I will go with the Steelers for the win!

If you're used to watching rugby it's hard to watch football - seems like a whole lot of standing around.
But...
in a 60-minute football game there's 12-15 minutes of play.
and in an 80-minute rugby match - there's 15-20 minutes of play.
The first stat is widely reported. The second is compliments of me, my wrist watch, and three Tri-Nations games from four years ago.
I prefer rugby, I LOVE rugby. Less than three weeks till the Super 14!

no nfl team has ever beaten a cfl team playing under cfl rules.
so it would be unfair to have the mens league champions (CFL) against the womans league champions (nfl)
oh yeah...

$1:
The last such exhibition game saw the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats defeat the AFL's Buffalo Bills.
If thats true, it was a long time ago.
