That was quite a finish in Edmonton. Nice comeback by the Eski's

I don't really follow football, not until the play-offs anyways, so my question for those who do... what the hell is up with the Esks? What's been the big change from last season to this?

They're winning. 8)

Hmmmmmm...... there are a lot as far as I can see.

The new coaching staff, head coach and a few others are all ex Eski's and have clearly improved the teams work ethic, sense of team pride and confidence.

Ricky Ray has found his game again and is playing solid football, really leading the offence. It also helps that the big men are protecting him better this year.

They have a balanced attack, they're leading the CFL in both rushing and passing yards. They almost run as many rushing plays as passing, makes it tough on defencive coordinators to defend against.

A solid defence, even last night after the Argo's took the early lead, they bared down and made it very difficult for the Argo's offence after that.

Too many things really, a few good acquisitions in key areas. A core of good Canadian kids.

Go check out the next home game Unsound, after Rosie and I were there a few weeks ago, seems like Edmonton has Eskimo fever again.

I'm not an Eskimos fan per se, but it's nice to see them at the top of the standings. Ricky Ray has always been a class act, and he deserves another ring.

I'm VERY happy to see my 'Bombers on top of the East right now, especially with the Alouettes slumping, the Argos confused, and the Tabbies being up and down. I'm really suprised at the Stamps, as I figured they would be at the top of the West from the get go.

Very interesting this season is.

One thing I don't get about this season: What the hell is up with the Stampeders having black helmets??? In that getup, they resemble the Ottawa Renegades. Seriously guys, go back to the red helmets. Soonish.

I think that's only their away uniforms. They had the red helmets last week when they played the Eski's.

WTF??? Here it is about a third of the way through the season and in nearly every game so far at least one helmet goes rolling across the turf empty. When the hell is the CFL going to do something about this? Are they going to wait until someone is seriously injured when 2 players go helmet to helmet with one player's helmet laying on the ground 5 feet away? I heard earlier in the season the chin straps and helmets are made by 2 different companies, so there must be a size or fit problems between the two, how hard is it to find a way to resolve this issue. I just hope the league gets off their collective asses and correct the problem before it's too late.

GO BOMBERS!!

That's usually the way it goes, yes.

Agreed though. It's absolutely ridiculous and irresponsible.
