i think that the video game systems are over priced for what they do.
think of it like this we pay like 550$ for a xbox360 and all it does is let us press buttons and play virtual games

:?: You didn't know that before you bought it? What else do you want them to do?

Tman1 @ Wed Oct 12, 2005 12:47 pm

Exactly. The reeason the next-gen system are so exspensive is becuase of their online features.

Just do what I do. Wait a year until the kinks are worked out and they come down in price. In the interim, mooch of your richer friends.

actualy you are comnpletly wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

First off the XBOX 360 is not $550

second consoles are much cheaper than Computers, specaily when you compare specs, to buy a computer with the same tech spec as a Xbox, ps2, 360, gamecube. any of them would cost WAAAAY more than these consoles do.

Plus the Xbox 360 does way more than just games, it is a full Media Center, which if you were to goto futureshop and buy costs $2000. The new consols also have online arcade and card games.

I dont think consoles are overpriced at all most sell at a lost actualy. Microsoft sold every Xbox at a loss. Of course the price is a little high when they first come out, this is the same for anything!

Yesyour right canadaka ....buuuuut now since game consoles are improved and server more entertainment its moire reasonable...I guess.

Well you could pay the $500 or pay full price which is about $1000 because companies don't make any money on their systems, just the software, they actually lose money on them.

by the way why are there these wierd advertisments there on the right?

I love the concept of the PSP but I must say, it's too rich for my blood. If I could hook it up to my TV, I might trade in my XBOX for it!

Actually, that's taking it a bit far...lol

too bad the psp doesn't have that many games for it at the moment, but it's starting to ramp up.

I love the idea in the new firmware that includes WiFi internet browsing.

can't wait for the PS3, even though i won't buy it for a couple years, odds are one of my rich roomates will get it the day it comes out, same with the xbox360.

I don't know about you guys but i still play the best system. The super Nintendo. I remember the day it first came out and i played it. I laughed at my Vectrex (really old system with its own screen but still awesome) and my Atari 2600 and i still Play Super nintendo everyday. Games like:

Super Street Fighter
Mortal Kombat
Donkey Kong
Super Mario World
Super Mario Allstars
ZELDA: A LINK TO THE PAST

Just to name a few classics
