A while back I was diagnosed with CML (chronic myeloid leukemia)
After much testing, My "vet" put me on a drug named Gleevec.

Wow!!!
What a difference.
Mind you I sought out my homeopath for the aches and pains.
Mind you I still dismiss my aches and pains to the physical stamina my job requires .

Good news is... I won't need bone marrow transplants.

As far as the psychological lethargy was concerned...
That too is all good now... I am back to my old evil self.

Note: this is to ensure that there is hope, help and cures.
A positive frame of mind is 50% of a battle won!

So glad you are doing better. I had a cancer scare about 15 years ago and it is very scarey just hearing the words "cancer". At first I was upset and paniced but I realized I had a small child who needed me and I took a positive outlook instead telling myself I would be okay and I did have surgery and I did get through the experience. I agree staying postive helps.

It's old news but be that is at may...I thought I should give hope to those who think there may be none.

Not sure what you are asking, if you could rephrase im sure I could find you the answer.

And all the best to you E. My mom had cervical and ovarian cancer as well as endometriosis before I was born. Lets jsut say her pregnancy was not easy. Allthe doctors said I would not be able to be born. But luckily I was and she had surgery and everything was okay in the end. You might try asking your doctor about meeting other people in your situation, my mom did that and she said it was really helpful being able to talk to people about it and such.

I must agree with you there and there just seems to be so much of it. My friend who is the most wonderful person in this world has just been told she only has 6 months to live because her cancer is progressing so fast but yet she remains positive and has promised to prove them wrong. She will she is a fighter and I know this will not win over her. She has a very positive attitude and has even taken on a new job besides all the volenteer work she already does.

My bud got 3 months of the 6 given to him before hepatoma finally won.
He spent those three months fixing up his house so his daughter would get something when it was sold for her education.

That and doing videotapes to be played at her sweet sixteen party, grad, xmas, wedding and other important events that he would miss.

He would still be here if there was a liver available but there is a real shortage of donors and organs so please sign your donor card people and tell family that you want your organs donated in case of death, you wont need them anymore anyways. Good chance you will save a life.

That is so sad but the videos he made her will mean more to her then anything she ever gets in her whole life. My cousin died to very young because she needed a liver and none were available. We should all sign our donor cards.

When my cousin finally got one or they had told the family they had one. It turned out it was no good. Her son was 12 yrs old and I can still see his face at her wake and I don't think I'll ever forget. Little kids can be so tough. They don't deserve going through stuff like that so young but it's part of life I guess. I pray my kids never have to go through an experience like this.
