do you think apple is a healthy food?and reasons you like it

Gunnair @ Mon Oct 08, 2012 5:47 pm

No. They're full of naturally occurring lemurs.

I LIKE it? You mean apples? Some I do, some I don't. Kinda broad topic... Could you be a bit more specific?

I like the hairy apple; often, in the past, at my own peril:

Apples are healthy for the vitamins, but contains a high amount of (albeit "good") sugar.

Lemmy @ Mon Oct 08, 2012 8:01 pm

The sugar content is secondary to the hair when you pick up an apple on Richmond Street.

The only thing worse than finding a worm in your apple.......finding half a worm in your apple.... 8O

I usually pick an orange or a ruby red grapefruit instead of an apple, Lower GI and more fibre

Same.

Sure apples are good for you, but finding an apple that has good flavour is an exercise in frustration nowadays.

Fujis are usually pretty good. Over here a lot of fruit is really bland. They like those huge japanese water pears(the ones that look like an apple) and they are bland as all hell. I usually sprinkle a tiny amount of salt on apples to bring out more flavour. Best apples I had were the ones from the trees in my parent's back yard.

Jazz and Fuji are best.

Never tried Jazz, but right now Fujis are the only apple I really like.
