That article is spot on. The Prime Minister of Canada can't pick and choose who he represents, no matter his personal feelings, nor can he single out a province (due to his French background) and pronounce them innocent of everything while basically flipping off the rest of the country.
We were told before the 2015 election that JT wasn't ready, and guess what? He still isn't.

Listening to Rex on the CBC for years, including every Sunday on Cross Country Checkup, I think he's fallen down the Rabbit hole since defecting to the Reds. He was never extreme, always centrist and fair.

So much for democracy. I'm by no means an anti-vaxxer, but the government's handling of this has been BS since the start, and this further shows how out of touch with reality they are right now.
This idiot health minister is just giving the anti-vaxxers more fuel for the fire, and this will probably lead to riots and trouble we don't need right now. Any smart premier will opt to not have mandatory vaccinations due to the above reasons.

And voluntary ones seem to be optional. They had the chance to protect the community. Now they can get vaccines, or stay home.

Not too big of a deal if it doesn't happen. At this stage it's become too much fun to read the reports of the anti-vaxx "purebloods" dying when they get COVID. Pity and exasperation eventually evaporate and all that's left is the grim humour of seeing those behaving so truly stupidly get what they've got coming to them.
Like Captain Kirk said that one time "then let them die". If death is the only real cure for such deep moronism then so be it.

No matter how much we value individuality, society/community comes first. If you don't like it, maybe we can have anti-vax camps where they can live in peace, unvaxxed, and far away from everybody else.

Rex is proving that he'll say the things that whoever's paying him wants him to say. With the CBC? Then he's a liberal moderate. With the NP? Then he's finding a home in the same place with Maxime Bernier and Ezra Levant, because that's where most of the NP/Postmedia readers are. It might have been a huge mistake for anyone to have ever thought Rex ever actually believed any of the things he said. Either that or he's so blinded by his own anti-Trudeau hate that he now sides by default with anyone opposing Trudeau, including the anti-vaxxers, no matter how genuinely demented they are.

No. No it isn't. People dying horribly and preventably is not fun to hear. And they make things worse, because every bed they take means a bed taken away from someone else who also may die because their surgery or treatment is postponed waiting for these people who could have easily prevented their deaths and the deaths of others.
If they don't want to protect themselves and others, they they can just leave civil society and let the rest of us be. No different than we treat those who harm society through other wilful acts like assault or murder.
