I did it, and haven't gone to the gym in more than 3 weeks. I also didn't change my diet and still enjoy ice cream, chips and chocolate when I feel like it. For breakfast on Saturday I had two waffles with ice cream and raspberries!

The key, getting off my ass and moving!

Since my girlfriend started working downtown, we've started going on walks everyday at lunch for 20-40 minutes, depending on our schedules. No running, no sweating, just walking and talking.

Good for you boot. Just walking everyday doesn't do it for me though. I exercise regularly at a gym, but I think one of the key way to lose weight is portion control. Eat what you normally eat, but less of it. Exercise helps too. :)

Actually, I usually work out in the gym three times a week, but the weather has been so nice that I haven't been able to convince myself to go. I will start going again next week, maybe dropping to twice a week to maintain what I have already.

Most of my exercise in the summer is usually tennis, bike riding, etc. I'd rather be outside, simply because the summer isn't that long in Edmonton.

Congrats on losing 10 pounds!

Even if you don't have time to exercise, there are small things you can do to lose weight.

And movement is the most important thing.

Instead of taking the elevator, take the stairs.

Why not try a night out bowling,or ice skating, instead of going to a movie theatre.

Dancing is great exercise as well.

That's inspiring. I have a gym membership that needs to be dusted off.

Jogging would be better, if you are overweight. Then go on portion control plus jog and weight lift then you will slim down. When you get to a size you like, then stop the portion control but continue to jog and weight lift. If you keep doing that, you pretty much can eat whatever you like, even McDonalds. You will also build up a lot of muscle eventually.

Though if you want to be one of those really big guys, then I suggest keeping some fat on your body and building up muscles over that. Trying to build pure muscles from a skinny body to that is going to take some dedication and a lot of time.

Oops

Oh well it is the time of year to crawl out from the den and get physical. Good timely advice anyhow.

I recall a few years, in July, back losing 140 lb of ugly fat in one night.

walking is better than jogging, as this causes less stress/jarring on the hips and knees. People can also walk for longer periods and if you walk at a brisk pace you burn calories at a similar rate.

No! I locked the door and threw all her SH** out the window. Bloodpressure dropped remarkably.
