People never fail to disappoint me. Even my pet chicken is more reliable to me than almost all of the people I know.

I so much want to have a dog but I know I can not care for him/her properly nor do I have a yard for a pet to play in. Once I have those I'll seriously consider getting one. Yet the pain of loss when a pet dies hurts deeply.
