Was there ever any doubt? I used to get excited about the juniors back when they didn't win every time. Nowadays they just dominate. It usually isn't even a good game. Just look at the D. What, did they allow 5 goals in 7 games or something like that. This is where Canada is way ahead of other countries. The Defense.

   

You think we've been running away with the WJHC's??

Where have you been living, in a cave? We win two in a row and it's no longer exiting to win for you?

Do you realize there was a 7 year drought before that?

No kidding, glad most of them have a bright future in the NHL and not trying to sign to a magor record label. Even Stompin Tom sounds better than they did.......

   

Your chart proves my point. So they didn't win gold for that seven years, they medaled in 15 of the 16 years after 1989. Before then there was only ten medals since 1974. So you see, back when it was a struggle just to win a medal, gold was a big deal. Now, if they don't win gold then everyone asks "what happened?"
I'm just saying that overall, our youngsters have improved while the rest of the world has not kept pace. I think it has a lot to do with Hockey Canada's new approach to international competition. They really hype it up now and get the boy's pumped up. To them nothing less than gold is acceptable, and that's the way it should be. IMO.
