Rétrospective
Depuis son arrivée dans la Ligue nationale de hockey, en 1992-1993, Eric Lindros n'a cessé de faire sa loi. Avant même d'avoir disputé un seul match, le joueur de centre décide qu'il ne veut pas jouer avec les Nordiques de Québec. Selon maman et papa Lindros, Québec représente un trop petit marché pour leur grand garçon.

La direction des Nordiques décide alors de garder le gros joueur de centre de 6 pieds 4 pouces et 235 livres chez lui pendant environ un an. Pour garder la forme, Lindros s'entraîne avec l'équipe canadienne et va aux Jeux olympiques d'Albertville en 1992.

En juin 1992, les Rangers de New York et les Flyers de Philadelphie affirment avoir obtenu les services de Lindros. La LNH tranche et la jeune vedette prend le chemin de Philadelphie. En retour, les Nordiques obtiennent Peter Forsberg, Steve Duchesne, Ron Hextall, Mike Ricci, Kerry Huffman, Chris Simon, le premier choix au repêchage de 1993 (Jocelyn Thibault) et de 1994 (Adam Deadmarsh) et 15 millions$ US. Avec le recul, cet échange s'est avéré tout à l'avantage des Nordiques, devenus l'Avalanche du Colorado en 1995. Ils devaient gagner deux championnats.

So I guess the Stanly Cup parade route down Younge Street has already been planned.. Add O'Neill,Lindros, Allison... and Kavanov.. and wow instant stanley cup pretenders.... Glad to see TO added a few bodies.. justify's Fergies job..(for now anyways) hopefully they all play a full season and post season.. but you still have to get past Ottawa, Philly ( which hmmm ya haven't been able to do) or new Jersey or maybe Montreal.......wow Every year the buds loose in spring time becuase they don't have the bodies... Lindros will help if uninjured.. 1 big hit away from devolving to a chimp. Allison 1 big hit away from golfing for the year. and O'neill.. hope he can fight through the injury bugs he has had......
Ya you might make the playoffs... but Lord Stanly's cup will have a different home address this year... No Cup No glory........

Lindros to TO, the whole league must be nervous. I wouldn't want to play TO now. Are you kidding, they are going to dominate. Lindros, Allison and O'neil, WOW lookout 8th place, MAYBE.........

Lindros to Toronto= Atlanta in the playoffs..... ROTFL ROTFL
