Man, I hope the NHL puts out a better product than the garbage they've put out for the past 15 years.

Miami isn't a good sports town though Avro. The Heat were playing in a half-empty arena before Shaq came, the Dolphins often don't sell out, and the Marlins don't sell well. Too much to do in South Florida, eh...

Proof positive we care about Hockey up here.. but we have no say in the way the game is played in the NHL.. Mr fairweather fan in the US doesn't give a crap about or game.. and will never care.....

Avro Avro:
I have heard a lot of talk in this area (Leaf fans) that because the scalpers are getting about $600 a ticket for tonight’s game against Ottawa it is proof the fans are coming back to hockey.......not so fast idiots.

Tickets for example are selling for 8 bucks U.S. for the Florida Panthers first game and there are plenty left......anybody up for a drive?

Ouch!!!

It's freaking Floirda man, what the hell do you expect? Besides, it's only 10-25$ here for a Family-Section seat - are you sure that's not that the 8 bucks are for?

And the fans are bloody-well back. I was looking for Habs tickets in December and all the games - all of them - were sold out. The only way I'm getting into a game this season is because my uncle has connections with the Ottawa Senators and I can get tickets to an Ottawa-Montreal game in December.

Umm...I did a few quick searches today on the weeeeb and every U.S. team I looked at still had plenty of seats left. Last time I checked they made up the majority of the league by just a tad.

$600 bucks to see a crap team? They are no Montreal, at least we can agree on that.

US Fanbase was always weak in a lot of places. Boston Detriot and the other Original Six teams usually do well. The point is that the Lockout hasn't hurt the fanbase too much.
