After being cancelled in December 2021 due to covid issues the tournament is finally going ahead starting on August 9th in Edmonton.

As weird as it will be to watch hockey in August it'll be good to see the tournament being played. I'll be watching. Will anyone else?

   

Well... I guess not... but here's an update anyway.

After the quarterfinals today it's down to 4 teams, playing on Friday in the semi-finals with the medal games on Saturday.

Canada vs Czechia
Finland vs Sweden

   

If anyone cares Canada won the gold today defeating Finland in OT. A nail-biter that could have gone either way.



Sweden won the bronze. Almost too bad as Czechia certainly earned their way by defeating the USA in the quarter finals.
