I just heard that Ed Jovanovski will be out indefinitely and will need surgery.

Does this mean McCabe is on the team now? Instead of the taxi squad. Beause Dion Phanuef is good too and he is prime to take Eds position.

I'd love to see Phaneuf, but it is my understanding that they can only use players on the taxi squad, which means that McCabe will go, if he is ready next week.
I've also read that Niedermayer is having second thoughts with some nagging injuries and might miss the Olympics too. That would really suck...

The squad will be a little diminished methinks by the time we get to Torino, but NO COUNTRY has a bigger heart when it comes to Hockey Than CANADA!
