PWHL 2024 Inaugural season

At last women have their own professional hockey league instead of only really being acknowledged in the winter Olympics. Only 6 teams to start with and they have yet to formally announce team names but the teams are:
Montreal
Ottawa
Toronto
Boston
Minnesota
New York
They seem to be getting pretty good fan support and sponsorship will pick up I'm sure as the season progresses. The majority of the team rosters are Canadian and American players but there are some from other countries as well.

Has anyone here even watched some of any of the first 3 games of this season?
These gals are awesome! They are drawing in the crowds as well and when I just checked online most of their initial merchandise is sold out already.

I don't have cable, and so have no access to live sports, and only see clips of games on YouTube or social media, so I haven't seen anything yet (I only saw a fraction of one WJ game though too).
My prediction is that if there is no hitting and no fighting like in international play, it will likely struggle to do as well as the the NHL does. Core audiences want to see the physicality as well as scoring. Let's hope it's more like the NHL than the IIHF.

We've watched part or most of a few games so far and these women play hard. It's quite awesome and entertaining to watch actually. They are getting great attendance in all 6 locations as well and also good TV ratings, both of which I hope keep going.

That's the reason I dropped cable years ago. The sports they did play I wasn't interested in. No F1. No FE. No GT racing. And the shows and channels I enjoyed they dropped.
I hope the PWHL does well, but unless they embrace streaming I'll have to be satisfied with highlights on youtube.

A quick look-up shows that Scotiabank Arena in Toronto (where the Leafs play) has a capacity of 18,819 for hockey.
