In light of the playoff run interesting since everything is coming down to the wire. BUT..

As for everything else the Amatuer officials on the ice that seem to think they should call everything anything and nothing... is ruining this game. Fuck there are two of you out there... Your calling stuff that is second rate bullshit penalties but leaving the stuff that should be called. Open ice tackles away from the play... I thought that was supposed to be "interference in the New NHL"... A guy is going down the boards with the puck and gets hit.. a legitimate hit.. no penalty... but you call the checker for interference.. he's trying to get the puck you "two $ whore" in stripes. the guy has the puck it's what the games about.. unless you are trying to take hitting out of the game too... this is hockey not basketball.

Then the NHL who are now backing a hit to the head campaign.. won't even stand by thier rules... Tucker takes out Hecht and there's no call.. no suspension.. no nothing.. WTF..... I am done with this stupid league until they figure out what rules they are going to follow....Still going to finish out the pools... take a check once and a while... but right now this game stinks.....

breeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaath................

There are so many games going at the same time so NHL had to call in amateur refs to fill in the blanks. Young guns get excited and whisttled at anything. Who's your best ref ever?

Favourite Refs were guys like Paul Stewart, Andy Van Hellemond, even Bruce Hood for those who go back that far...

Mick McGoo I wish that idiot would retire, kerry"hairspray" Fraser used to be decent.. glad terry Gregson hung up the whistle... There used to be flow.. but now a penalty isn't a penalty.. or is it hmmm "tweet.. interference... no wonder these players are pissed off.. the world worst most bumbling inconsistent refs are all those in the Major sports.. the NFL has a ton of them, MLB has a Ton and I mean a TON of them... NBA basketball same thing.. these guys in the NHL are supposed to be the cream of the crop the best officials out there.. same in all the other sports.. but alas... we never get the consistency the game needs.. in order to be a flowing game...

I agree the penalty calls are not very good. I also agree that Tucker should have gotten a couple of games for his BS hit on Hecht.

Still, the games in the West are great and the race will likely go right down to the end. It looks like the East is almost totally set. I can't see Atlanta or Toronto getting into the playoffs. They need 5/6 points in the next seven games, and that means that Tampa has to lose all their remaining games. Even if they get a couple of points in OT/SO, I don't think Tampa will go 0-7 in the next two weeks. The Leaf's magic number is 4 as of last night.

The West on the other hand, could be very different in two weeks. Vancouver could make it, but both San Jose and Edmonton have a game or two in hand, so that works against them. Of course, the difference in points is much smaller (even LA is only 3 points out).

kerry"hairspray" Fraser

hehehehe I remember that guy. He almost cost us the Stanley Cup! He as strick and by the book. He had eyes all around his head and could whisle while drinking his water. BUT when he hates your face, you and you're team can kiss it and buh bye.

Actually.. no not really.. no sore grapes here.. the Canucks brought it on themselves.. losing 4 games to St Louis.. thats 8 points and not just losing but getting blown out.... Glad to see Edmonton there.. the canucks made thier bed and have to sleep in the crap they gave... Quite honestly I really hope they don't make it and get rid of the cancerous core that we have here....

The whole season I've been pissed with the refereeing.. no consistency at all... makes the WWF look like threy're officials aren't just actors....A referees job is to be impartial, consistent, able to keep up with the play and not a glory hound.. 19,000 people didn't show up at a rink to watch your blow your whistle all night.... CALL what IS a penalty... don't miss the obvious stuff that happens in front of you.. and stop making make up calls for the ones you missed just to appease yourself.. we don't care about you stripes... we pay money to watch the game be decided by the players.. not by some clown dressed in black and white... enough said...

Tucker takes out Hecht? Put down the crack pipe.

Look at the tape, Hecht sticks HIS knee out. Tough shit for him. You think the NHL would let Tucker off? Please! The reason there was no call or no suspension is because nothing happend but Hecht doing himself in!

He injures he knee in February, then again in March....if a fly sneezed on his knee it would be hurt.

I'm in agreement with Twister. It's just not the same watching it this season. Too many damn penalties. I'm so sick of it.

I'm enjoying the WHL here much much more. GO GIANTS!

Hecht is skating up the ice tucker skates towards him and initiates contact.. hands up, stick up... left knee out in the direction of hechts plane of movement... take your head out of your blue and white ass.... F**K if anyone did that to a precious leaf you'd be calling for thier heads... go back to sleep and enjoy the golf channel... ( we'll be watchin Tiger and Wier duke it out here in BC again and again too....) but enjoy
It always seems that Mr Ducker I mean stupid fucker er.. should I say Mr. Tucker gets away with the shit he does.. what does he have a photo of Gary Betman and Colin Campbell from thier shepard days... domesticatin' a few sheep... if you know what i mean.... little blackmail material...

Well, you tried.....

blue and white ass? Make that a red and white ass. I'm a Red Wings fan through and through. Nice try.

Just because I defend Tucker, doesn't mean I'm a Leaf fan. I'm a realist and anyone with eyes can see.

Watch the video again, do Tuckers legs move out? No. His stance remains the same as he passes Hecht.

Does Hecht move his right leg out? Yes. TOO BAD FOR HIM.

Go to TSN.ca and watch the video again, watch Tuckers legs......I'll await your apology.....and please, enjoy that Golf Channel.

twister @ Sat Apr 08, 2006 1:06 am

Well after the wings dump in the first round... you'll be golfing too.... Nice to see the red and white but seldom right.... here's the clip....

tucker hit on hecht

F**King disgracful

watch tucker's left knee he has it out before contact has it turned to the right body position, bends it enough so he's not going to do his own knee in Hecht is just trying to get out of the way of the slough foot knee coming towards him.. A fucking Marchment Special.. but your too blind to see that.. Hecht didn't initiate contact.. Tucker did.... away from the play...hecht had just passed the puck is on both feet but tries to turn on his right skate while avoiding contact with said asshole in blue and white.. he lifts his left leg while trying to avoid the twin gloves and left elbow headed for his head.... then the silly liitle fucker turtles and dives. didn't know a cuff to the head could lead to a half gainer with a spinning flying twist......classy hockey player you're supporting there way to go.. R=UP ..

twister @ Sat Apr 08, 2006 1:32 am

tucker hit on hecht at impact note the gloves high... left elbow just missing the head... left knee bent in full contact with the outstretched knee of the trying to avoid the hit Hecht.... oh or are you going to tell me uhm.. the sun was in his eyes.. uhhh uhhh I don't know... but I'm a red wings fan and never wrong......Photograph proves it now go and sit back and watch #1 team in the regular season West in the playoffs get beaten by #8 again.. you know the feelin' been there before.....

The photograph proves my point. Thanks.

Who's leg is sticking out? Not Tuckers! His stance is firm as he goes past him. Is the elbow going for the head? Yep....did he stick out his leg....nope.

Take the name off the back of the shirt. If that was anyone other than Tucker, you'd say it was Hecht's fault...which is was.

Everyone besides gay ol' Lindy Ruff knows what happened. You think Colin Campbell would not give Tucker a suspension?

Now go work on that golf swing so you can enjoy a round with your Canucks :D
