If you can't answer don't paste crap like that. It makes you look as smart as the person in your avatar. I mean you said Forsberg was prone to accidents "lately" meaning he has played some sort of "Hockey" recently, which Hockey? Or wait, maybe you should have rephrased your sentence to Although he is prone to injury

There's rumours about all sorts of players going to the Leafs right now. And many other teams. It's all about the rumours right now.

P.S. Forsberg is a baby!!

Totally.. there is so much up in the air right now with that roster its not even funny. Unfortunately Toronto is in one of the biggest markets therefore they have a very large payroll that they're going to need to trim quite a bit.. Should be interesting to see how it works out.

Sorry. I thought since you're in this thread that you are a fan. I guess I was wrong. I meant lately as in the last couple of seasons. Of the NHL. While he was with the Avalanche. In Colorado. Sorry you couldn't figure that out.

I'll try to remember to use small words & make sure I phrase everything precisely where you are involved.

Oh ya, . . . . . Image

Well as a Red Wings fan I must say that the Leafs lineup is irrelevant and will make no difference in their failing quest for the cup. [cold] Gonna be another cold year for the buds...

Signing Forsberg would be a coup and a half. Of course, he's stated he only wants to play where Marcus Naslund goes...so sign the pair of 'em!

Realistically, Lindros is a good sign. Maybe also take Old Man Ray Whitney, you could probably pick him up dirt cheap.

Maybe if the Leafs could sign some defense cheap, they could trade for Luongo. Okay, so Florida has no reason to part with him, but hey, they could try. If the Leafs keep Belfour, boost the defence with Pronger (St. Louis ain't going to sign him) and Adrien Aucoin.

A little birdie told me he's being picked up by Atlanta.

Hey Toronto.. wake up not every NHL'r wants to play for the leafs.. 25 roster spots will they sign a few guys, yes... will there be any big names probably yes... but you know so will everybody else. Great speculation that you could possibly land Kariya for a million buck.. he did that the year before the strike so he could play with Teemu.

Okay wake up have your cup of coffee OJ and toast.. feeling better.. good ...get on with your day the NHL will sort itself out in due course and time. Will Toronto win a Stanly cup in any of our lifetimes... hmmm probably no but even the red sox did win one after 80 years....

twister @ Wed Jul 27, 2005 6:09 pm

$39 million dollar cap.. you have to spend probably 20% less than that.. if you have injuries etc trades...that could cut in.. if revenues go down and so they will after the strike year next years cap may be 32 million or 30 million per team... got to plan for the future and not think hmm we could get him and him and him.. not the yankees folks.. no Allstar teams put together no more 69 million dollar Rangers philly and Leafs... fiscal constraint folks... every team will have a least 1-2 elite all stars.... not 1 team with 22 ( and hmmm that won't be the leafs)

Twister,

You seem to be fixated on belittling the leafs. I guess we all have our prejudices eh?

Tman1 @ Wed Jul 27, 2005 6:19 pm

Any Canadian team is good. Get your prejudices out and bring the friggan cup back where it belongs...namely Canada.

Magnum @ Wed Jul 27, 2005 6:27 pm

Revenues will certainly be up!!! With the cap as is, owners will be putting significantly more dollars in their pockets & the cap will either stay the same, or go higher. Depending on the fine print in the contract.

And, I would say the majority of NHL'ers DO want to play for the Leafs!! 8)

That's the facts, Jack!!! R=UP
