The behind the scenes happenings this summer have been entertaining.

Win or lose, there should be lots to watch this season.

And... here we go yet again hockey fans!

Ready for another season of cheers, jeers and beers! [B-o]

I'm glad they signed Bo Horvat. Very happy about that actually, as he was among the few players I really hoped would stay here. I don't have high expectations this year though a pleasant surprise would be awesome. We shall see how it all plays out and I'm looking forward to the banter in here when the season gets underway.

The Canucks play their first preseason game today against the LA Kings at 2:00pm PT in L.A.

And then BC Lions vs Calgary Stampeders at 4:00. Better whip over to the store to pick up extra beer and nachos.

Going into the 3rd it's Canucks 2, Referees 2.

But this half of the Canucks lineup are looking good.

Keep it up Jake Virtanen and you'll make the team. We can use one of him when he's playing the way he can.

The Vegas Golden Knights play their first ever preseason game, or for what it's worth, their first game ever, at Rogers Arena Sunday at 2:00pm PT.

And they get their first ever goal, too. :)

And a few more... 5-2 now for LV.

It's preseason so I'm not paying too much attention yet as many of these players will head to the minors soon.

Too many penalties guys! Smarten up!

I think the veteran Canucks and the retreads Benning hired this summer are headed to China for preseason games this coming Thursday and Friday.

The prospects stay to play preseason games on the continent.

Something like that anyway.

The Vancouver Canucks/Utica Comets play their 3rd preseason game tonight in Calgary, starting at 6:00pm PT. We can only hope they have better luck tonight after the thrashing the team took playing the Vegas Golden Knights. Meanwhile, the veterans are now in China preparing for their games against the LA Kings in Shanghai and Beijing. The first game is scheduled to start at 4:30am PT on Thursday at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, followed by a game starting at 12:30am PT Saturday at Wukesong Arena in Beijing. The stay home team plays in Edmonton Friday starting at 6:00pm PT.
