"Khadr was only 15 years old in July 2002, when U.S. authorities allege he threw the grenade that fatally wounded a U.S. medic in eastern Afghanistan."

They should have shot him where they found him.

Do you want to shoot all the child soldiers in the world?
Shouldn't they all be treated the same?

Isn't it a big hypocracy that Canada fights for the rights and rehabilitation of child soldiers in Africa, and has done nothing for the long six years to rehabilitate this child soldier that's a Canadian citizen?

Yea, he's a great citizen. An outstanding role model, along with the rest of his anti-west and anti-jew clan that left Osama Bin Laden for free haelth care and nice passports after three years in Mississauga.

Our system is just wonderful and well worthy of you promting it.

Lock him up, throw away the key. I will never understand the people that feel bad for this clown. he is a terrorist, not a Canadian.

A child is not responsible for having been the instrument of his father.

martin14 @ Wed Apr 09, 2008 10:01 am

15 is not a child.

He was ready to kill at 15. His brainwash has begun earlier.

Who really cares if he was brainwashed or not? He hates the west and all we stand for. He is an enemy of Canada.

They ruled that the clip couldn't be shown. Why not? Isn't it evidence?

From time to time judges rule evidence inadmissable for various bizarre reasons including their own whims.

It's all about child welfare protection. Omar was destined by his father to become a sociopath. The Canadian society has a responsibility toward children growing up in hateful (new) Canadian families.

So if he hadn't had the opportunity to throw that grenade until he was 20, would it still not be his fault, but the fault of his father?

Could even take the logic further and say perhaps the father was a "victim" of his fathers hate for the west and as an adult shouldn't be responsible either. With that neither should any of the 911 terrorists for that matter I suppose. :?

Typical kooky thinking no one should be responsible for anything anymore.

Yeah right, like that would go over well with anti-western socialists in our country, Conservative government going into suspected radical homes and making sure the kids aren't being preached hate .... get real dude, how in the hell could you do that without being labeled anti-muslim by rabid socialists.

Lets leaving the proper parenting to where it belongs the parents, and not the Government. And if a family chooses to leave the safety of Canada to go to the middle east to throw hand-grenades at american soldiers and kills one, gets caught by them and thrown in a shitty jail to potentialy spend the rest of their lives their, tough shit.

I dont want that turd back in Canada anyways.

Benoit @ Wed Apr 09, 2008 5:46 pm

An adult soldier who killed, in combat, another one is no big deal unless there was, among them, a soldier recruited while still minor. The whole idea of differentiating adult and infant soldiers is to prevent/break the formation of a vicious cycle of violence.

Chumley @ Wed Apr 09, 2008 5:49 pm

what to do? Charge him under the young offenders act? That will break the cycle.
