The best way to dissolve the Bloc and any other party is to create a new one. Our new centrist party would make clear that the Bloc has never had a good explanation of what Canada has done to deserve losing Quebec.

ROTFL To take care of number one

Quebec never was ill.

That's a big lie

As a Quebecer I would say that both the PQ and the bloc are becoming redundant.. more and more Quebecers are not interested in the separatist movement and want good government. good representation in Ottawa. a strong ecomony with jobs and a future for our children.. I support some of the ideas and policies of the Bloc in terms of what they put forward in the interest of all Canadians.. and they have done this.. I would like to see M.Duceppe run in another party ( preferably liberal) but his call. there a some very good parliamentarians in the Bloc.. I would hope that they would see it would be better to be in one of the other federalist parties..

ridenrain ridenrain:
How can a provincial party run and hold seats in a federal election.
This twist of the rules to accommodate Quebec needs to end.

The last time I checked, the Bloc was a federal party duly registered with Elections Canada. The PQ is a provincial party. In this case there is no twisting of the rules to accomodate Quebec.

On a much less successful scale the Western Block Party, dedicated to the separation of the Prairies and BC, is also a registered federal party.

Better to have Quebec nationalists and separatists vote for the Bloc than the Conservatives.

Would you really want the Cons to get that vote en masse? Last time that happened the Progressive Conservatives were hopelessly corrupted and subsequently destroyed.

Besides, as long as they keep voting for the Bloc the wretched CONS won't get a majority. :D

By all means let the nationalists and separatists remain in the Bloc ghetto where they can't do any damage.

There are some that choose Bloc as a protest vote.

But, there is a bit of a change or ''wave'' (vague) as TVA likes to say it. There are some columnists in Quebec that are starting to realize that the Bloc is useless. So for instance, mayor Labeaume & Tremblay make a list of demands from the Federal Govt, immediately Duceppe agree to their demands in front of cameras, as a political stunt. But the Bloc cannot fork out Federal Funds, for it never be in power. So the Bloc Quebecois is completely irrelevant. But some of the leftist media in QC still play the game and make them the party to vote for to the populace, by giving the party media attention and Duceppe getting votes.
