A-O.K. You're living in Canada, assuming you are going to buy a satellite service, which one would you buy? Why?
I personally have DirecTV in Canada and would not give it up for nothing. As a matter of fact I am considering offering it to my neighbors and others (in Canada).
Sure there are Free to Air services but when they scramble the service you have to go online and download a bin which could take 2 days to a week for a new bin.
DirecTV is illegal in Canada.
You can be fined thousands of dollars for having it. Don't go setting it up for your friends.
I have BellExpressVu in America.
I pay for it.
when we were up in northern Manitoba we had Bell ExpressVu and it was great..except during storms. I had it for a short term at our place in Wiinipeg, but switched to MTS digital cable as it covered our phone and DSL. We also have/had Star Choice out on our place along the Duck Mountains, otherwise we'd be limited to CBC, CKY(CTV) and CKND(Global). out of all the services I liked the digital cable over the two satellite services.
My house has Bell ExpressVu, and I really like it.
Good selection of HD channels, and I love the PVR.
Well DirecTV was kind enough to ship 2 PVR receivers to me free, and just got them a couple of days ago.
My TIVO died and I only had Canadian cable channels. I just about died, nothing to watch.
I just purchased another receiver too. 500 GB HD DVR PRO Receiver.
Records up to 400 hours of SD, and up to 100 hours of (MPEG-4) HD programming.
