My work is co-hosting a Greenpeace benefit event. Come out and support a great cause and get entertained!

Some of Vancouver’s most prominent activists, politicians, musicians, and long-time Greenpeace supporters are uniting on September 21 at the Commodore ballroom to honour local citizens who, for forty years, have been making an extraordinary difference worldwide. Mayor Larry Campbell will read a special proclamation declaring Greenpeace as Vancouver's gift to the world.

Blues, rock, world beat, spoken word…this will be a very special event.

The Cause: Proceeds will go to the Greenpeace Boreal Forest campaign to preserve the Canadian Boreal forest, the largest remaining ancient forest in North America.

The Book Launch: Rex Weyler’s highly acclaimed new work, “Greenpeace: How a Group of Ecologists, Journalists and Visionaries Changed the World” No trees fell for this book, printed on 100% recycled paper.

The Musicians: Many of the musicians have played for Greenpeace and eco-social causes for decades: Chilliwack, Paul Horn, Ann Mortifee, Valdy, Jim Byrnes, Zubot & Dawson, Shari Ulrich, Gordy Ryan and Oba. Spoken word performances from Pete Trower…and others.

And the Special Guests: Mayor Larry Campbell, Leonard George, Richard Brooks, Tzeporah Berman and Greenpeace founders: Bob Hunter, Dorothy Stowe, Dr. Paul Spong, and more…

Please come celebrate Vancouver’s roots in peace, ecology, and music!
