WTF is this about?
I know it is a character flaw but these thing scare the @#$%^& outa me.
I absolutely loath these things.
WTF did they come from and who set them and why?

I saw pictures taken prior to their destruction but this is not my area of expertise. My knowledge is limited to....mark them carefully then and walk away....quietly..........most are very unstable due to old age. 
What nationality are they?....it seems to run in my head, that for these critters like hand grenades are all built on the same general pattern.
In most armies these things are closely guarded and carefully keep in extremely secure sites. Except for sappers, few regular forces ever get near these nasty things. The presence of sappers from Pettawawa would indicate that that would be the closest that CF would have any inventory.
It was mentioned that evidence of timers was found which to me would indicate that these were not set for a specific target but somebody was buying time for a getaway. It would also indicate the presence of a secondary charge/trigger. It would appear our Xperts were prudent to destroy them in place.
