This is where I think PM Harper is sucking on Big Oil Companies Tailpipes.

We have a MADE IN CANADA vehicle ready for the market, but the government will not allow it to be sold to the general public.

Rick Mercer tours our St. Jérome manufacturing facility and discovers Canada's best kept secret: the all-electric ZENN!

According to the owner of the company in your video he says it is available in Canada,in BC to be exact and they are waiting for regulation in other provinces.

So whats the point of your topic?
A Harper slam or just a cheap attempt to relate him to big oil in attempt to defame him?

Hard to tell which personality your useing any given day here.

Watch the video, about halfway through the owner of the company says its available in Canada.
I can imagine the accident rate on the deerfoot would triple if they let them on the road.

Tritium the chameleon has turned red this week.

looks like you can buy them in Quebec, with a tax credit :)

but a max speed of 40km/hr, wow, thats nothing.
if they change that, then maybe it gets more acceptability.

...and WOW!! how you come to the defence of your lacky. PM Harper, and yes he is all about Big Oil and Big Corporations...

Not to worry Ziggy their are plenty of tailpipes around.

Yes, he just got approval in BC, and is waiting for approval from the rest of the provinces where is still remains illegal to drive one.

Why because I like eco-friendly vehicles??

The maximum speed is the least of its problems. It's a glorified golf cart, and like golf carts have NO safety features whatsoever.

If they're for use in a gated community where cars won't have to share the road, great, otherwise this is a tempest in a teapot. These are not "cars".

Didn't I mention a top speed of only 40km, that would make me hesitant to allow such a slow moving vehicle on my roads with out serious regulations in place.

Top speed on city streets is 50km.

This car would be great as a commuter in Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton...

Need something faster then we need it have the goverment move faster on the hydrogen hwy coming out of BC.

I dont ever remember saying I liked Harper, maybe you can drag up a post where I did.
Maybe you can also explain why you post untruths as a topic header and then dodge when asked about it?

Do you even read the stuff you post before you hit submit?

ziggy @ Mon Apr 27, 2009 1:57 pm

50 kmh, they should have to post a billion dollar bond with BCIC for what it's going to cost them in claims.

They do that and hey,let them rip in BC. :D

I obviously watched more then you did as I saw them both talk about it being available in B.C. and your topic header said it wasnt available in Canada,so which is it? Make up your mind before you change personalities again.

Maybe you should have watched more then the first 2 minutes.

Nice dodge though, you should edit your topic header to reflect what the article really says.

Chumley @ Mon Apr 27, 2009 2:24 pm

40km/hr is way too slow. If everyone actually drove the speed limit your commute would probably triple. Anyone remember that incident where two guys in cars ran side by side down the highway at the speed limit? I think it was in Ontario.
The freeway couldn't cope with the amount of traffic that was trapped behind these guys.

I'll send your concerns to Rick.

IT'S ONLY ALLOWED IN BC. You are trying to split hairs, as it is still not available to the majority of Canadians, Canada wide.

It's a title. For God's sake and to please Ziggy, here is an amendment to the title from here on.

MADE IN CANADA!! But not allowed to be sold to Canadians outside BC??
