Montreal launches major public bicycle system

This is a great idea in time for summer! the price is exceptional, it encourages exercise and keeps the air clean! Hope to see a similar system here in Toronto someday!

i wish them the best. programs like this are great if someone can figure out and prevent the pitfalls from happening. things like how do you prevent theft?
Require a credit card to charge to. If the bike doesn't come back, you lose.

If they can ID the renter, at the beginning and the end, that will help
renter abuse; wont do much for random vandalism or bikes being stolen however.
