Thousands fought and died under the Red Ensign it was the first flag of our nation and one that bound us together in battle and in peace.

So you may have to excuse me if I use this flag in respect to my grandfather and people like him.

For without men like him who carried this flag you wouldn't be able to call me a moron on the internet.

In any case, when Trudeau came to power, Canada was already 18 billion dollars in debt and there were many other prime ministers who drove the debt in Canada so why single out Trudeau? oh, edit...Mulroney actually increased the debt...

Trudeau may have put military spending far down the list (as did mulroney) but thats a far cry from the usual con cry that everybody but cons hates the military.

True dough didn't put military far down the list, trudeau set out to destroy the Canadian military.

Mulroney actually tried to inject some money and equipment into the military but got shut down every time by the whining liberal idiots.

At best Mulroney restored divisions between the branches which deserves respect because they wanted it.

He closed bases and cut troop levels also. He promised then balked at buying subs and we went subless until the Liberals bought 4 diesels from the brits.

Those diesels apparently performed well against US carrier groups as previously posted.

Now Chretien eliminated the financial damage Mulroney did and once that happened they bought loads of equipment including the LAVIIIs.
