Several media sources including Yonhap are reporting this and that's about all that's being said for right now.

'We will take care of it!' Trump says North Korea ICBM launch 'is a situation that we will handle' after national security team briefed him while Kim's missile was still in the air

$1:
North Korea fired an intercontinental ballistic missile on Tuesday, its first launch since September
Comes as South Korea warned Kim Jong-Un could have long-range nuclear weapon within a year
White House says President Trump was briefed on the launch 'while [the] missile was still in the air'
Trump says: 'We will take care of it. ... It is a situation that we will handle'

$1:
Defense Sec. James Mattis said Tuesday that North Korea's latest missile launch 'went higher, frankly, than any previous shot they've taken'

What is North Korea's endgame? They know if they fire first and the United States strikes back they're on their own China told them this.

BartSimpson @ Tue Nov 28, 2017 3:14 pm

Why do they keep calling the Nork missiles 'ICBM' when they're just flying a few hundred miles?

If the Norks really had ICBM capabilities their missiles would splash down off the California coast and not just a few klicks off of Japan.

Lazy reporting on the Daily Mail’s part probably.

They're trying to goad the chief chucklehead into firing first.

When the cruise missiles start exploding over Nork facilities and refugees start flooding over the Chinese border, China will react, alright. The smart thing for the Chinese to do us to head this off before it goes any further but one gets the feeling that they are looking for the right spark to justify them taking some military action against the American carrier fleets lurking around their declared South China Sea territory.

This sort of shyte could domino into a World War.

It's possible we're at a point where China will orchestrate a Military coup against the Kim's with support from World leaders.

He's taking care of it with a beautiful, really beautiful fire and fury response to this bad, yes it's very very bad provocation.

Because the missile is effectively going straight up and down. Any missile that has the capacity to go 4000km straight up also has the capacity to go something like 10 000km in a suborbital profile.

Thanos @ Tue Nov 28, 2017 8:44 pm

Why even bother with an ICBM that can plausibly be shot down with current American missile defense systems? Put a launcher into a container ship, sail it to the eastern seaboard about 1000 km off the coast, and hammer a US city from short range. Or just blow it off in the upper atmosphere and set off an EMP cascade, which could potentially cripple the entire electrical grid east of the Mississippi River. The US would be fucked either way because with that syphilitic spastic in the White House right now there's no way they'd be able to either put together an effective defense or a coherent non-insane retaliation.

Things are grim. The creature that too many foolish and gullible Americans chose as their current leader merely makes things even more potentially dreadful. :|

Wait until they find out that the G P S system is controlled by the Americans. The guidance system of a NORK rocket was probably pulled out of an I-Phone and once it's in the air and headed for Calfornia, the Yanks can probably turn it around and land it in downtown Pyongyang.

Why not use the rusty tramp freighter as the delivery vehicle? Just sail it near a port and KABOOM!

Thanos @ Tue Nov 28, 2017 9:03 pm

Better to scuttle the ship in a deep part of the Atlantic after a missile launch. In the chaos that follows the US would be in no condition to put together any kind of salvage effort searching for evidence.
