Canadian Armed Forces pictures

Its really nice to go onto a website and see pictures of our military pers doing their job....well done, however as a Canadian soldier I can't help but comment on a few pictures the two that show the orbat of an infantry company and an armoured regiment, they're nice posters however the Canadian army only own one of the types of vehicles shown....my beef is with the armored tank squadron which shows Leopard 2 tanks.The Royal Canadian Armoured Corps uses the Leopard 1 and has used it since 1978!
Only within the last 1-2 years has the LAV III been given to our infantry units.The picture also shows Geppard AA units. NOT in this army!! Maybe the politiciands will one day realize for us to do our job safely and properly we require the equipment shown in these pictures(I won't hold my breath tho)
Oh and in the Canadian army we work in tank troops not platoons , and there are 4 troops of four tanks with a 3 tank SHQ troop along with an Admin troop and Maint troop.
I know that this may all seem anal but this is what the average Canadian sees and thinks that this is all the fancy hi-tech equip that we ahve ........and it isn't.

Nice to know, if you'd like you can post some info about your regt. what ever isnt classified that is.

Yea it's kind of decieving. Fortunatly pressure is starting to mount on the PM to increase military spending for this years budget. Whatever the increase is, it still won't be nearly enough. I personally would like to see the entire surplus put into the CF 
Our armed forces have been going through 40 years of continueous budget cuts. We just went to war in afganistan, and we might be going to fight a couple more wars.. gives our guys some decent equipment!!!!

More moeny for the military.........It'll only happen if people contact their MP's though..........
I think the government will involve us in a US led attack, UN resolution or not.........Our credibility is on thin ice as it is.......
