With all the recent news about Iran and now Hamas winning the Palestinian election, Hamas having ties with Hezbola (sp?) in Syria, do you think the war will eventually expand?

We already are, it's just not official yet. It is not a question of if, but when. The fact is the world need what Iran has. If the west is the fulcrum of the free market then Iran is the black market. On paper the two can not co-exist but in reality neither can truly meet the demands of day to day existence. As it stands now the two are competing interest and Iran can not be bought out so that leaves only confrontation as the only inevitable conclusion.

Lovely sentiment moron.... If it does I hope you get a front row centre seat. And unless you missed it, this all DID start in the USA almost four and half years ago.

Why would you make that comment? If the war expands to the USA, it will expand into Canada. We're allies. I hate when I hear comments like that!!!

others hope so, but the Yanks are running out of money and people stupid enough to get killed over there. There are some idiots on here from Canada who make noises like they'd like to volunteer, but they haven't got the berries to go enlist.

I guess the answer is no, not in a conventional manner anyhow, but there'll be retribution to the US and Britain for a few dozen years.

I hope to god that Harper boosts our forces because I can see world war three comming in the not so distant fututre. We are living in a very dangerous time.

Instead of Russia, the battle field will be the middle East.

What's that got to do with us? I'm more concerned with half crazed refugees from New York fleeing mass bombings and designer diseases than I am about Abdul swimming his camel across an ocean or two.

If the theatre expands into Iran, it'll be tactical strikes rather than an actual occupation. The same goes for Syria. With Iran's refusal of the Russian offer to enrich their uranium it seems they are no longer even trying to hide the fact that they want to produce weapons grade material. While Jerusalem itself is safe from a nuclear attack, the same can't be said of Tel Aviv, Haiffa or other Israeli cities. The best hope for peace in the region is if someone assasinates the terrorist who is posing as Iran's president(and the old ayatollahs who are really running the place).

Lopping the head off the Hydra will only make the cause stronger and make him a martyr. The root cause will not be addressed with simple murder.

you'll notice that I suggest getting rid of the ayatollahs too. They are the heart and soul of the beast.

Scape @ Sat Jan 28, 2006 10:14 pm

That would be a holy war.

in case you missed it, I think they declared one on us awhile ago. Besides wars always create lots of 'holes'
