One day after the so called elected Afghani passed a bill demanding American and Canadian soldiers stop killing so many civillians, American bombs kill 21, including women and children.

$1:
The incident, which brings to nearly 90 the number of civilian deaths blamed by Afghan officials on Western troops in the past two weeks, comes as President Hamid Karzai faces rising pressure to halt the bloodshed and find a way to start peace talks with Taliban insurgents.

$1:
KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (Reuters) - An air strike by Western forces killed 21 civilians, including women and children, in Afghanistan, a provincial governor said on Wednesday, the latest in a string of civilian casualties that has riled Afghans.

When was the last war where civilian weren't killed by accident? Passing a bill demanding no more accidents is like outlawing car accidents in the rest of the world.

Well it isnt a war, its an occupation just like the Iraq disaster is.

The Americans claim they are there to help the people then drop a bomb on houses where the people are simply trying to eat dinner

:(

Well, the last war that we can be sure that there were civilians killed and not by accident was.....hmmm...Iraq! Besides nowadays if civilians join in the war being thrown, they are accused of not wearing a uniform, are called demeaning names and then killed or dragged off to prison. Heh! What's the fun in throwing a war and not letting everybody have at it, eh?

baylee @ Wed May 09, 2007 6:35 pm

Imagine.

What nerve.

A puppet government of America, who do and say, and take all their orders from America, passing a bill, saying they want America to stop killing so many innocent civillians.

THE NERVE. Dont they know who sign their cheques?

:D

Neither account could be independently verified.

They need to be more careful and soon, the Afghan police and army can take over and our forces can leave. Rooting buggers out of houses is a slow and dangerous task and it's better left to their own people anyways.

You're sure sounding sad about these deaths, ladybug. It's sounds like you'd trade a hundred more, just like them if you could make it stick to Bush. You're really a sad little person.

You call it an occupation, the government calls it a war. So it sounds like the question stumped you because you refer to the accidents as intention civilian killings. Do you have any proof they are systematically targeting the civilian population or do you not see where you've blurred the lines?

Why is it not a suprise to read that. *sighs* It seems the US doesn't care if they kill innocent people or not (take Mai Lei for example).

{off topic} it's weird to see a Canadian flag next to my avatar instead of a US flag

Can you point me in the right direction to show me where they don't care............or is that just your opinion?

Listen OSSAMA! The only reason you ever heard of My lai is because the guy responsible was charged and convicted under military law. Lt. Calley.. Deliberately killing civilians is not US government policy, the Courts Marshall are proof of that. Deliberately killing civilians is public policy of state governments----one at a time after due process.

I believe the dictionary would disagree with you.

War: a conflict carried on by force of arms, as between nations or between parties within a nation; warfare, as by land, sea, or air.

And as far as I've heard, our boys serving over there don't consider it an occupation either. That word tends to piss off the population, and really, they aren't an occupying force in Afghanistan as they're more or less working out of camps outside of metro centres and such.
As for the deaths of civvies, I'm sure they intended to kill them just like the number of Canadians that have been killed by friendly fire. No arm of any military is perfect, and unfortunately people fuck up, a lot. But to think that the USA is deliberately killing civilians is retarted. Unfortunately, the people we're fighting tend to not wear a uniform, hide their weapons where we can't identify them, and hide in buildings full of innocent people.
It's a fucked up war, but it's got to be done.
