THESE are the two innocent Asian students kicked off a jet because other passengers feared they were terrorists.
Friends Sohail Ashraf and Khurram Zeb, both 22, said last night they were stunned that anybody could think they were suicide bombers.
And they insisted they were just a couple of ordinary lads who wanted a bit of fun on a day trip to Malaga.
Sohail - who was marched off the Monarch flight to Manchester at gunpoint - said: "My first reaction was to laugh when I was told why we had been taken off the plane. Then I realised they were deadly serious."
Despite their ordeal, the pair do not blame the paranoid passengers.
Fforgiving Sohail said yesterday: "These are nervous times and I can understand why people are so panicked.
"All I would say is, 'Don't be paranoid. Don't judge every book by its cover'.
"We might be Asian, but we're two ordinary lads who wanted a bit of fun.

These Lads sure look like Asians don't they? Hattori and Katsumoto? Calling them Muslims would have enraged Muslims around the World, no one wants that so the Media calls them Asians instead. Political Correctness is good isn't it? The Media chooses to call these Muslims Asians because they didn't want to enrage Muslims while at the same time they insulted Asians....

eh!Sure there's a story, the Media was being Politically Correct not calling these 2 Lads Muslims instead choosing to call them Asians. You don't see that, it certainly shows what you're all about,

In the UK Asian means Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan etc not Oriental as it does on this side of the Atlantic

Um... they look sleazy as hell.
Meeting them as strangers, I wouldn't trust them. Not because they look Islamic, (which is not a racial trait anyway), but because they look like thugs.

In Britain, anyone whose skin isn't white can be assumed to be "Asian". That includes Brazilians who dress suspiciously because they haven't acclimatized to the British cold and damp. Guess these lads should be thankful they were removed by Spanish authorities rather than trigger-happy bobbies who have their own way of dealing with "suspicious Asians".

It's nice to see a few Liberals running to defend the Media's use of Asians instead of Muslims. Please, the Media didn't use Muslims because they didn't want to offend Muslims anymore in the UK as it's already to a boiling point.
Than again it was a Liberal who wanted to make nice with Hezbollah and have them taken off Canada's Terrorist List, so anything that comes from the mouths of Liberals isn't shocking anymore..
