Impossible.

According to the lefties on CKA, the US is on the verge of collaspe. :?

That is a very interesting site you posted... A person would have to read and form thier own opinions on weather there is truth to any of it, but it does give some one somthing to think about anyways

chemo_saby @ Sun Dec 12, 2004 1:26 pm

Yes it is. I could see the real plan being one of establishing a permanent presence in the Middle East. It may have a calming influence on that troublesome area and in conjunction with Israel may be able to bring some peace and quiet to an area of the world that has only known turmoil. I suppose if it has to be done, I'd rather it was the US.

:? It's really too bad he put a quote from Star Wars at the end of his little article, it would have sounded a little more credible without it!

I think they went into Iraq for oil... whatever the reason, it wasn't part of the war on terror. That was just an excuse, something to blindside the public with.

chemo_saby @ Sun Dec 12, 2004 1:34 pm

Well Robair they are there now and it doesn't look like they're going to leave any time soon and even if they did plan on leaving say within the next 5 - 10 years, I'm sure something would occur that would cause them to re-evaluate and stay.

All this bickering back and forth isn't accomplishing anything other than cementing the arguements we'll all be sticking to as our teeth fall out and our knees and hips stop working due to crappy government-run health care.

Well, I don't think it had anything to do with the "War on Terror" or liberating Iraq from Saddam. I think if you asked, most Iraqi's would say they prefered Iraq before the US, came to "liberate" them. At least they had food, water, power, hospitals, and not a whole city full of dead bodies. The Iraqi's I think have had all the "liberating" that a nation can handle.

Rev_Blair @ Sun Dec 12, 2004 4:22 pm

PNAC was very specific about why they wanted the US to invade Iraq. It all reads very much like a plan that Paul Wolfowitz to George Bush Sr. George Sr. didn't implement it. They sent a similar letter to Bill Clinton, who also ignored them. Now with George Jr. in the White House and every other cabinet position filled with a PNAC member, suddenly the foreign policy looks a lot like this plan.

Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terror or weapons of mass destruction. It never did. It was always about the oil.

The truth of that statement gives me a sad sinking feeling. It seem that what the Bush government has done is no better than the Nazis raping Poland,is that to strong a statement ?

RoyalHighlander @ Sun Dec 12, 2004 8:28 pm

ASny one see the movie, "Wag the Dog"?? Sort of similar a bit LOL

Vanni_Fucci @ Sun Dec 12, 2004 8:54 pm

Yeah...I saw that movie just a few short months ago...after I'd already formed my opinion of the "War on Terror" and Iraq...I found it very revealing, and a must watch for any who doubt the power of the media...

Scape, I would like you to elaborate on one of your examples. What are your thoughts on the one ton challenge?

Scape @ Fri Dec 31, 2004 2:39 am

It works, it's simple and it needs to be enforced at gunpoint.
