From
http://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/www ... enDocument$1:
The Salvation Army’s membership consists of 3500 officers, 60,000 employees, 113,000 soldiers, 430,000 adherents , and more than 3.5 million volunteers.
So, yeah, I think you're right!
They also have an annual budget of US$2.55 Billion.

Nice vid. I wondered about the number of hulls they showed. Seemed a god awful lot of hulls. You have no idea how much work is involved getting one ship to sea. For a navy to put that many at sea at once is something the US might have been able to do 15 years ago or so, but not even the USN today. Found remarkably similar pics of the International Naval review commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Japanese Navy. Think that is what we see there. It looks like 30 hulls at least.
The Chinese Dragon better take heed, they've got a samurai St. George sitting close by. if conflict comes in the region it's going to be between Japan and China and history doesn't favour the Chinese.

history might not, but numbers do...

Yup....no arguments there! Today's military is hurting big time.
I think the day will soon come that the Japanese military will be as indespensible a force against Chinese expansionism as the West German Army was against the Soviets.
I'm sure that fact's not lost on them. And that's probably why they're not afraid to bring out the Ole' Rising Sun again.
Good on them.
Cruel race.

'A question of honor', 80 dance music mixed in with opera. Scared the shit outta me.
Got visions of Bobby Lee doing Top Gun. It got worse from there...

Its a maximum of 53 destroyers (all types). So 30 doesn't sound unreasonable. The present day USN has approximately 79 frigates/destroyers/cruisers 12 carriers, 42 attack submarines and 14 ballistic submarines and 3 cruise missile submarines (converted SSBN ohios). So I'd say the present day USN could pull off formations like that if it were to concentrate its forces. The main concern would be that the US navy tends to spread its carrier groups out so it can rapidly respond to rising crisises.

Are there any videos of the Canadian armed forces like this one or rather similar to this one since this one kicks ass and instills fear to whoever watches it?

Oh, yeah. I'm sure the Japanese still know their way around China!
