I really doubt thats what was on the sign as the picture was taken...


but it is funny ......c'mon its a joke.....

   

Probably WAS on the sign, kids just couldn't read it... being english and all.

   

I'd say the kids have no idea what the sign says.

Plus it's not funny anyway because so many civilans have died.

If there was a pic similar to this but cracking a joke about September 11th there would be a lot of unhappy people calling foul.

It is in my opinion real...the shadow detail through out the entire picture is perfect(all three people were actually there when the photo was taken) as for the text on the cardboard it's self...with the line pattern that runs throught it and with it being at a slight angle it would be extremely difficult to match it up.
I looked at the image at 800x zoom and can find no evidence it has been touched up at all.

   

It was probably altered. Who would risk taking that so people could see.

   

Well with a track record of places like Abu Ghraib ...they are not really that carefull now are they.
