Is there any historical evidence anywhere that bombing the crap out of Innocents actually made a positive difference? The logic defeats me. I remember when the U.S. went into Afghanistan post-WTC, someone somewhere talked about "Creating widows to raise orphans to be martyrs". All these actions do is create more anger, more violence, more hatred.

And we never seem to learn---whether it's Oklahoma City or the WTC or the IRA or bombing a bus load of citizens somewhere.

I have been insanely angry all morning (and I'm a pacifist!). It's my day off and I've weeded the backyard within an inch of its life---time to take on the basement.

Haha, sounds like you guys are advocating another Crusade. But seriously, violence only recognizes violence, force only accepts force. If we want terrorism from the Middle East to end we have to take action that will cripple them. By taking the soft road of liberalism and giving them shelter and education we are merely creating a firmer foundation on which they can stand. By doing such things, we create envy and resentment which breeds more martyrs. The only way to deal with terrorists is to take an eye for an eye. Sure we may all be blind, but that is what is called equality, isn't it?
