Remember, you're the one assuming the person was a Christian and vandalized the mosque out of religious persecution.

No, you missed my point. I never said THE person was a christian.
What I said was (and read it over and over again, until you get it): When A muslim commits a crime, it is stated he is muslim. But when A white christian commits a crime, no-one will know what he believes.
Remember the story of that lady in Amsterdam who ran over that thief who stole her purse from her car? HE was muslim, and so was stated. They FORGOT to mention, she was from the Netherlands Antilles. What they tried to do in that story, was blame the muslim society for this, and point out that the muslim minority in this country is soooo bad. They didn't mention SHE was actually a minority too, so that point was absolutely unnecessary.
I hate ANY generalization. Period.

My reading is fine, your clarity is in question. If the person was Christian (I like how you hammer the fact that he is white) and was religiously motivated, meaning the facts state he is a Christian who hates Islam and he destroyed the mosque, then I'm sure it would be mentioned. In this case, not all the facts are presented so whether or not he is Christian, or even white, is moot or irrelevant.

No, don't recall the story and never heard of it. A lady ran over a thief? All the best to her then. Nothing in that little statement mentions that she was Christian.....or religiously motivated in her running over a Muslim thief.

Sarcasm aside, this is just the flip side of the generally published, by the Muslims, of the Muslim agenda.
We we ask of them when peace their answer is when we are dead, enslaved or converted to Islam.
I greatly doubt, most in the west would be desiring Muslims convert to Christianity, for the simple fact that most westerners, are not practicing Christians any way.
Indeed, my perception is that most Muslims, perceive the west as pagan.....to be killed, enslaved or converted to Islam.
As far as this thread is concerned, without any clarification for the motive of the attacker, it is difficult to know if this was the act of a dangerous psychopath, a sociopath (common criminal) or a religious zealot (christian or Muslim).......or simply a guy who had had enough (backlash).
The dangerous problem with spreading hate is the mirror effect......it inspires a backlash of hate....

When the assailant is found I'll render a decision until then calling the perp a Christian is a broad leap. It's common knowledge that non-Muslims aren't welcome in the Islamic Enclaves in Britain. Just ask the child that got ganged raped because she wasn't aware non-Muslims were not permited. The British Government is more concerned with prosecuting Channel four than investigating the Imams preaching hatred and racial violence in England. That countries gone so far down hill race and religion trump Criminal Law and Civil Rights of the British people.
