The rampant nationalism in some European countries is today’s reality that can’t be avoided.
Its active support under auspices of the imposition of democracy’s ideas and introducing Western standards in the public sector of foreign countries is actively carried out by the US State Department, primarily from a financial point of view. The American «soft power» method was described in Gene Sharp’s famous book «From Dictatorship to Democracy». But as far as the current situation in individual countries, it is no longer a question of sponsoring the so-called “color revolutions”, but of open support for extreme nationalists.
So, in February of this year, 5 million US dollars were allocated for Ukraine through the well-known non-governmental non-profit organization «Irex» (International research and exchanges board), which is actively involved in the implementation of «revolutionary projects» in different parts of the world. To a greater extent the funding was directed to the implementation of projects of the Ukrainian nationalist law of the radical organization S14, a criminal group, whose exploits are widely heard.
It turns out that America, actively opposing nationalism, covertly finances its supporters. The policy of double standards is typical of the White House.
It is not clear why the hotbed of nationalism is needed in the very heart of Europe? Is America afraid of «cozying up» to the nationalists? Indeed, experience has shown, sooner or later they get out of control…
