Hamas is a terrorist organization, and they assassinated the Bin Laden of Hamas, good for them I say...Bravo.

   

They've just caused a shit-rain of death and violence and set back any possible attempts at peace by a few years. The act of killing a single man could not have possibly brought peace, but it most certainly brought much more violence and served to unite several groups that could not unite themselves.

It has been rightfully condemned as an illegal and incredibly stupid act by most of the world.

   

They just created a new martyr for them to go and kill in his name now... Things are going to get ugly there now for sure

When/if the catch or kill Bin Laden its going to be the same thing, just going to have to weather the strom.

   

The Israelis did the right thing, the smart thing. Yassin was already an inspiration for terrorist and was one of Hamas' leaders. In the short term there will be an increase in terror attacks but in the long run Hamas has been delt a major blow. Now if only they'd take out Arafat.

   

I say we build the missile defence sheild over the middle east.. and let them all fight a conventional war, and finally let one of them wipe the other one out.. well.. i guess Israel would be the loser scince it wouldnt have its nukes to use... but Im sick of this crap.. Israel is just as Evil as the palestinian organizations.. my god.. Israel has even FUNDED some of these terrorist organizations, and in my opinion, they did it to make sure the violence continued, so they will have an excuse to keep attacking.. my god.. what wouuld they do if there actually was peace in the region.. let them all go at it with sticks and stones.. who cares how it ends..

   

It's very unfortunate that this happened the way that it did. As RH said, the Palestinians have another martyr, and more rage. Hamas may have been dealt a blow, but I'm willing to bet that flames of the terrorism movement in Palestein have only been fanned by this.

Far be it from me to judge the actions of Israel in this matter, but it appears to me that a better outcome is for terrorist leaders not to be assassinated, but to be brought to justice. Let them be held on trial for their actions and let the punishment be one that shames them, not gives them the glory of death.

Well first it's the total oposite of a melting pot. There will never be a winner or looser, and i dont think it will ever stop. As long as there are diffrent racises and diffrent religous there will always be hate and vilolence. I think its somthing people need to get use to. Though i think people should try to stop the violence, its not reolistic to think it will just end one day.

   

What do you suggest? Obviously none of the parties want to stop the fighting.. its been 50 years, and it is only getting worse. There is no end in sight. I'm not saying I want them to fight.. but in these ethnic/religious fights.. sometimes I dont see an end to them until one side wins, one side loses. Take the eastern european, Yugoslavia,Kosovo,serbia etc.. they have been fighting for thousands of years over t he same crap. These ethnic 'melting pot' areas are all basically the same. Diverging cultures, clashing at a line somewhere. Religion coming into play. It wont stop until there is a winnner. I'm not saying I agree with this , but sometimes it seems that by the U.N etc. interfering, its only prolonging the inevitable. Instead of one generation getting messed up over the ordeal.. it screws up multiple generations, gets inbedded into history/psyche, and continues on, and on, and on. This is just my observations, up for debate.. so dont call ME backwards for suggesting alternatives to the already exhausted ploys we've implemented. Subject is up for debate. Sorry if I came across 'nutzo' before, but as I posted in the introduction area, I can get a little hotheaded and start to rant at times..

   

The Israelis have done rather well for themselves without resorting to nuclear weapons. Time and again they have humilated Arab military forces on the field of battle only to be stoped from finishing the job. Well the Israelis have made efforts at peace the Palestinians have not, there goal is simple Genocide. Peace will only come A) when the majority of Palestinians want it not before or B) the Israelis stop pussyfooting around and declare that all of Judea and Samaria are part of Israel, and that if the Palestinains want a state well they already have one. It's called Jordan.

   

Yes.. Israel has humiliated the arab forces in the pat.. but WHY? Because of American support.. in the 1967 war(I think), the arab forces were kicking the crap outta the israelis, and were about to push them to brink of losing.. but no.. who steps in.. the good ole U.S of A. They gave Israel a whole bunch of fighter ejts.. which they used to beat back the Egyptian/Syrian armor in the desert. Before that, the Israeli army what getting pummeled. If the U.S hadn't stepped in with equipment.. there would be a whole different history to debate. So I would'nt jump to conclusions and say that Israel has done pretty well for ITSELF.. I'd say they were lucky to receive support.. I mean if it wasnt for sympathy, Israel would never have existed in the first place. Israel is only useful to the U.S for the fact that they are basically a large American military base in the middle east, but for each IRAQ(for an example) in the future.. Israel becomes less, and less important to U.S interests.. they will be left out in the cold, just like most other American allies have been once their usefulness had expired, and it will be the start of another horror story .
