Top Three, all Democrats. Hows about some special
wealth taxes for them ?
Special one time windfall tax, 50 billion each.

You had such a good conversation going above and then you ruin it with this garbage? What a childish attempt at a political attack.

If only guys like you cared about politics as much in Canada as you do in the US, we'd be far better off.

So if I can understand the unhinged rant above
Government = communism?
And are you advocating for change to make offshoring illegal or what?

Garbage ?
You don't find it appalling that those 3 have as much money as the bottom 50%
of America ?
Because I do.

See, BF gets to blow it off, because the 3 give money to the Democrats,
and he just can't deal with that.

Politics in Canada ?
Pretty boring stuff tbh.
At least in America the people had a chance to vote for real change.
We are very far away from anything like that.

Do you really? You started off in this threas defending the wealthy people. When did you suddenly become a SJW?

Huh? That’s literally the exact opposite of my response. I’ve been asked to stop calling you names like stupid twat or lying shitstain so I’ll refrain from doing so, but please attempt to be more honest and intelligent.

Okay one thing I haven't seen is are the people named actually breaking the law(s) of their country or some kind of international law?

It's perfectly legal. But myself, like many, wonder why it's legal for rich people to have one set of rules, and the rest of us have another set. And it's the rich people who get to decide which set is theirs.

Gates and Buffet have also donated a very substantial portion of their wealth to charities.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/21/warren- ... naire.html

Bezos is working on it.

What I wonder is why they have different tax rates than the rest of us.

Then maybe you should it, instead of bringing those insults through the back door.
Then again, your personal insults only show that, as usual, you have absolutely
no argument left.
You typically start off that way as well.

They give to their own charities. Just like the Clintons.
Sorry if you think they just hand it over without keeping control of it.
Btw, which charities in the USA do they support with straight up no strings money ?

Imperfectly, regrettably, disgracefully legal. It will take years to determine the level of legality here and some offences may be left to the court of public opinion because tax officials don't seem to have the resources or fire in their bellies to go after complex offshore schemes. We already know that from the shameful Isle of Man surrender. How hard are you going to fight KPMG if you want to work for them one day?

The Americans have an outstanding tradition of philanthropy.

$1:
The billionaire investor just donated another 18.6 million Class B shares of Berkshire Hathaway worth $3.17 billion to five different foundations. That puts his total charitable contribution to the organizations at $27.54 billion in just over ten years.

More from USA Today:
14 billionaires join Bill Gates, Warren Buffett in giving away more than half their money

The five foundations receiving this donation include the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, Sherwood Foundation, Howard G. Buffett Foundation and NoVo Foundation.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/07/13/warren- ... years.html

Why do they have to donate it to charities they don't control? Does it somehow mean less then?

They do, but for the life of me I've never seen the results of it,
the past 40 years.

Of course we can see the old money libraries, museums, etc.
I don't see the new money.

I don't even see Bill Gates Fountain on PBS.

So where does it go ?

DrCaleb DrCaleb:

Clintons.
It's the same.
Anyone who thinks the Clintons aren't taking slices of their Foundation
and putting into their pockets is deluded.
You know what you get when you give to charity ?

A tax rebate.

Both Gates and Bezos are from Washington.
You would think all that money, and there would not be any poor people in Washington.
Everyone lifted out, thanks to Bill Gates.

Have you been to Washington lately ?

Proof, or it didn't happen.

And who cares if the Gates foundation is directed by Bill and Melinda? Have you bothered to check out the good they do in the world?

So, Gates could sell everything, and give everyone in Washington state about seven thousand dollars each.

How would that help them?
