Think he'll do a good job as Prime Minister of this beautiful nation? I saw an interview with him today, and it looks like he's got some great ideas for the nation, and has a vision.

I like his idea of occassionally moving parliament around. Could be nice in February in BC.

Not a fixed circuit, but really moving around. Canadians would become much better educated about politics.

Of course, it would also be a great opportunity for pork-barrelling! :P

I desperately hope that I'm wrong, but everytime I see this guy I think that he's going to be at least as bad as Mulroney.

As for moving the Parliament around...why not just place it in Thompson, Manitoba. It's as close to the middle of the country as they can get and still have somewhat regular air service. They could hold Question Period in Trapper's Bar and Grill. It would give them a chance to really get in touch with the country.

Winter in Van city, skiing in AB, lobster in the Maritimes, TO could become the <<<absolute>>> centre of the universe for a while. :D

I like that idea also. It will get the provinces who feel neglected by parliament, to take part and feel appreciated by the Canadian government. Yukon, ho!

Or it could lead to confusion and lead to ad-hoc decisions being made instead of a solid policy being developed.

I think we need real political reforms, not a travelling freak show.

Sorry if I laugh, but what's the difference.

Anyway, I'm not suggesting constant traveling, well maybe I did, but what I meant was maybe one new place for a month or two each year. I agree it would be very cumbersome, not to mention inefficent and wasteful to have a permanently traveling capital.

A vote for the Liberals equals continued non-support of our proud military, therefore Paul Martin couldn't possibly get my vote.

BadAssBookie @ Wed Sep 03, 2003 12:46 am

Who are you going to vote for??

The Alliance?? They would turn the military into a division of the US forces.

To bad we couldn't have a non politician for PM. It would seem that people have great and noble goals before becoming politicians and then something happens................

I'd love to see the Marijuana party in office! lol we could have a new type of smoke break. Forget flex fridays, pot luck friday's! lol I was going to put down a bunch of other positives but I've forgotten what they were :?

Short term memory loss is only one of the many symptoms that come along with actively supporting the "Marijauna Party".

BadAssBookie @ Fri Sep 05, 2003 11:29 am

Other symptoms may include: independent thinking, environmental responsibility and the munchies.

Skindog @ Sun Sep 07, 2003 5:28 pm

It's exceptionally hard to trust any politician nowadays, with all their hidden agenda's--- no idea whom I'd vote for. Let's just see what Mr.Martin has to say... Cheers

Beckie @ Mon Sep 15, 2003 12:07 pm

Talk today is Shiela Martin will make a wonderful first lady. Talk about putting the cart before the horse. uggghhh

Be nice to vote for our next PM instead of how wonderful it will be once he moves into his office :?

BadAssBookie @ Mon Sep 15, 2003 1:19 pm

Many people will vote - just differently from you.

PS your last sentence doesn't make sense.
