I think this is just LAZY and stupid of Chevron. This will now cost them so much more than if they just cleaned up the mess to begin with.

That video ^^^ needs to be more widely shared. It still puzzles me how a corporation could charge a person with a misdemeanour, and litigate it, and have it result in jail time. I guess that is an artifact of being a Republic.
Seems to me focusing on the lawyer to distract from the lawsuit is the same strategy as focusing on a scientist to try to dispute the science.
