This is more proof that the UN has their heads up their azzess.

Self-defense is a NATURAL RIGHT, meaning that if you threaten me it is natural for me to defend myself......regardless if its legal or not.

IMO, for the UN to oppose a natural right is dubious at best.

Okay, when is the last time the UN actually fulfilled a mandate? Maybe the US should boot their sorry asses out of New York, then they can take up residence in their belowed Middle East. I like the idea of a UN, but I sure don't like how this one is making things happen. For the most part it's been pretty useless.

   

This is an interesting make work project. Obviously, this is going no where in the US... it would be absolutely unconstitutional. However, she does make the argument that goverments should provide a level of security where there is less demands for guns. In parts she makes a very conservative argument for guns and rights. Goverments should provide enough security for it's members that they don't feel the need to buy a gun. Nice sentiment even if it is impossible.

The UN to me has sunk to the level of a scandal ridden organization administered by a bunch of self interested 10cent pseudo world leaders. It should be dismanteled, it's a waste of time and money!

Meanwhile the French are advocating all people should be taxed for the benefit of the UN and are encouraging all countries to follow their lead. They have started with a special tax on air travel which will be paid to the UN and have the support of much of the EU. So far Harper, Bush and Blair have refused to implement any UN tax but the general consensus is that the Liberals in Canada will implement a similar tax to France’s when next elected.

   

Just watching a programme on tv about leeches does the UN qualify?
