I am an American living in BC. I have joined the site to learn more about Canada and to get a Canadian perspective on today's issues. I have lots of questions and am looking to learn. I am respectful and hope to be treated likewise.

Did you just move to BC? I can't think of a better way to learn about Canada than actually living here. Pick up a newspaper, talk to other Canadians. This site is fine to learn stuff but talking to people around you is so much better.

Just don't talk to tourists from Kalamazoo, MI. Apparently your fellow Americans feel they need a gun when talking to people around you.

Moved here 6 months ago. I have enjoyed reading the paper and watching the news. Tis the best way to connect with the happenings of a new area. I have enjoyed talking to Canadians.

Ya, I read about that. People like that give all Americans a bad name. I just hope that people realize that just because one American does something stupid that it does not mean all Americans are that way. I hate stereotypes... like the Canadian igloo stereotype... its all based out of ignorance and I do my best to avoid it.

I don't think you can really call yourself a man if you haven't stuck it where it didn't belong atleast once.

Also, Welcome from the Chuck.
